Its ironic Woodson is defending the Raiders from the #1 ranking when he was exhibit A for those who don't want to play in Green Bay.
Free agents that don't know any better say that..
Oh, I think they know of what they speak. We are talking about guys in their mid-20s, many who come from the south or California and shudder at the thought of northern Wisconsin winters. And then there are quality of life issues: there are plenty of reasons why an urban black kid, for example, would cringe at the idea of spending half the year in small town Wisconsin where you can count the number of non-whites on one hand (yes, I am exaggerating, but the image of white bread GB is powerful and persistent). El naco tiene razón, this is not about franchise stability, it is about image.
All the other teams on the list are crap - chronic losing records. The Packers are what they are in spite of whatever this poll indicates. What is the implication of that? Does it mean Ted Thompson is doing a great job under adverse conditions? (just asking, not saying)
Anybody got a better idea?
Props to Hoosier for the use of "naco"!
I hear ya and PB. But I just don't why how these players wouldn't like GB when it is full of Black Man's Kryptonite.
Consistency, community, and cold weather. The bane of the black man.
Yea because Green Bay is known for their hot white women....
Comes down to its a small town and most people don't like cold weather. Remember there are mainly 20 something year old jocks we are talking about, honestly how is this even a fucking surprise?
You won't find her in Green Bay...

It says they surveyed 100+ players. What does that even mean? 101? If so, that means only 6 players said Green Bay. That means 94/95 didn't say Green Bay.
Can we have a designated "free agents don't want to play in GB" thread starter? Their responsibility will be start a new thread every 3-4 months lamenting the difficulty in attracting players to the Packers. They will need to consistently emphasize the same issues in every thread.
The dead horse (which is now a skeleton) must be beaten with vigor.
Just as I bring up Eric Rhett every time a fool thinks he can leverage for a new contract, I am going to start bringing up Greg Jennings when an idiot thinks the grass is greener somewhere else.
I think this survey says more about the kind of NFL player that participates in stupid surveys.
Still it wouldn't hurt for GB to launch an educational campaign targeting tropical urbanites of the NFL on the virtues of yoga pants.
