Jaire Alexander: "I didn’t have any contact with the #Packers. This caught me by surprise."
10:40 PM - Apr 26, 2018
The above refutes any claim that the Green Bay Packers had several contacts with CB Jaire Alexander, prior to the Draft.
That aside:
Overall it appears that Brian Gutekunst's moves NO. 14 >>> NO. 27 and back up to NO. 18 and a loss of NO. 76 and gaining a First Round Pick in 2019 in Round One finds favor with NFL Analysts and Beat Writers and Packer fans:

They needed a WR influx. Allison (even if sung by Elvis Costello) is no sure thing and there is a lot of nothing behind him.
Would I have asked for a WR only draft with no pass rush? Nope. But I prefer 3 WR who can play and no busts high with pass rush.
Someone wrote a question elsewhere, 3 vertical WR, how will they work in McCarthy's offense. Has anyone been watching this offense since Driver stopped starting? Its all vertical routes. This year it'll be vertical routes with a TE and two backs who can catch it.

Gutekunst said the Packers did talk to Alexander on several occasions. Figures they all blurred together for Alexander, who said he hadn't talked to GB.

I can't believe they still hand out Mark Brunell's jersey in camp. Or was 8 Hasselback?
Now I want to go back and draft the kid:

I'm not sure if the Packers expert on WR' Draft Picks had that WR in Round Two influence this Year and the Draft.
The Packers go first in this DRAFT to a WR here Round 4 ‧ Pick 33 (133 Overall) and WR - J'MON MOORE - GRADE MISSOURI - GRADE = 5.56.
Pick Analysis
Round 4 • Pick 33 (133)
" ... The Pack needed to inject some speed into their WR corp and Moore fits the bill. Forget his timed speed, Moore should be able to stretch the field for that offense. ... " --Mark Dulgerian
Overview
" ... Moore followed up a strong junior campaign with an equally impressive senior season. While Missouri's offensive scheme made things easy on him and allowed him to rely on his athletic ability to succeed, he has the size, speed and talent to be able to succeed beyond what was asked of him in college. Moore is still raw and will need time to expand his knowledge and feel for the position, but he has the talent to become a WR3 or WR2 within the first two or three years. ..."

Ted’s grade value is now 4.57
TT still has that stupid fucking look on his face
NFL Draft Scout gave the Packers an A, but this was a nice hint about why they were willing to drop from 14 to 18:

It is worth noting that in moving down the Packers passed up on the opportunity to nab Virginia Tech's Tremaine Edmunds, selected by Buffalo, Boise State's Leighton Vander Esch (Dallas) and Florida State's Derwin James (L.A. Chargers), each of whom the club heavily scouted and may wind up producing more of an obvious immediate impact for their respective NFL teams
