When does Johnny Jolly find a job?
...and Pickett?
I think Pickett and Jolly might find homes when some injuries occur late preseason or early season. Everybody wants to try youth first.
Have Pickett or Jolly even worked out for any other teams?
Marshall Newhouse is the starting RT for the Bengals.
(not really, just for preseason game)
DJ Williams released by the Patriots.
I think I overvalued Jolly. I really thought he'd be in someone's training camp by now.
Big Barty Smith going to make a comeback.
I just saw here http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...l-32-nfl-teams that the Bills released Tori Gurley.
Also, if the Packers really liked Patrick Lewis, C, Texas A&M, who was let go and claimed after the last cut down last season, we can put in a claim on him now (if it wasn't an injury situation naturally).
Jerron McMillian was released by the Chiefs just recently. What did TT and Co. see in that guy?
Brian Brohm is lighting it up this season, 118.8 passer rating.
Not a Packers outcast, but playing with one...Incognito looks to be landing in Tampa. What a combo him and EDS would be, with Dietrich-Smith trying shoes together and Incognito, the league's 'dirtiest player' gooning them while they can't move! :-)
lies, damn lies and statistics, eh hoosier?
And now, for the rest of the story: Brohm's numbers on the season are 1/1 for 8yds, 0/0 TD/INTs. I didn't see him throw that pass, but I assume the opportunity came up when Willy, the starter, had to go to the sidelines to tie his shoes.
There is no time to tie your shoes in Canadian football, if you do that you end up missing an entire series. It looks like Brohm's completion was an eight yard dump-off on 2nd and 10 (NFL equivalent = 3rd and long) late in the fourth quarter with his team leading 45-14. You can laugh at him, but the guy takes advantage of his opportunities. Not his fault that his current team isn't willing to let him shine. :-)
