Five Thirty Eight with a breakdown of Rodgers breakdown. Occurred almost immediately after his 100th regular season game.

^^^I swear that graph is the same one the English scientist used to prove global warming exists.
Every dot is his yards per drop back in each game of his career starting in 2008.
The red line denotes trailing eight game average for each game after his eighth start. He stopped having great numbers around game 103, had fewer average games and many more below average games.
He hasn't gotten to 8 yards per drop back or above since Game 106 (versus NE). Games 103 and 106 make 100-110 look pretty normal. Then the bottom falls out OR the top caves in I guess.
Games 100-110 largely made up the backend of the 2014 season. Notable only for clunker versus Buffalo (Game 108). However season opened with terrible performance against the Seahawks (Game 95) and a low scoring loss to Detroit (Game 97). Playoff game included win versus Schroedinger's Wide Receiver Dez Bryant and a certain Seattle playoff game.
2014 was the year of the calf injury oddly enough, given its his most recent remarkable season.
I have a feeling the chart might be slightly shifted in respect to games listed at PFR as his worst game here in 100-110 range is 101 (Carolina-11.59 non adjusted YPA) and 110 (10.27 YPA versus Detroit).
Thompson will be gone. He won't be fired. He'll retire.

I don't understand why this place isn't as big as Yahoo!
Fritz also had a good football point earlier.
Does anyone now blame Tom Clements for what happened last year?
Clements is clearly to blame. He broke Rodgers so badly that even the offensive genius isn't able to put him back together again properly. Clements enabled the stubborn streak in Rodgers and allowed it to mingle with the skittishness and declining skills, and the results have been dismal. At least Clements will never get the Joe Philbin opp now.
I want to know why Harlan Huckleby was not a choice in the "Who Is Most Likely to Be Asked to Leave at the End of the Season?" poll.

Also, MM said time of possession and field position are more important than being No. 1 in scoring. What correlation is there to winning?
Those three things aren't directly comparable. One is a rank, one is an average and the other is a cumulative number.
Field position is huge, just ask the Texans. Or the Packers.
Time of possession is meaningless and runs against his current offense's hurry up mode to stress a defense. This reads like an excuse to go Chuck Knox.
No 1 in scoring is nice but hardly necessary. In fact, there is a pretty impressive streak going on that teams that win the Super Bowl have better Defenses than Offenses.
I think either the Packers need to fire their numbers guy OR get McCarthy to statistics class.
Can we get that chart updated now...we need the arrow pointing up.
