Thread: Wine question

Never been a big wine drinker - except from my parent's boxed wine...

We went to a Brazilian BBQ last nite and had a nice pinot noir from CA. Huge meal, needed the wine to break it up.

Eating out in Beverly Hills usually shows you how hilarious rich foreigners really are (no offense). This one guy had a complete rainbow stripe getup.
Saw Bill Nye, 'the Science Guy'. Me and a buddy went up and said thanks for bringing science to tv when we were kids. Not much of a talker.

A first last night, had a cabernet from Romania. It wasn't bad.

boxed wine? you'd be better off with some Boone's Farm!

Last night I tried a new Pino Gregio... Sterling something, from CA. It was very good.

2007 Pillar Box Red at Costco....with the current coupon it as about $7.50 a bottle and a very good deal.

How much is it in a box?

Ironically, there is a blog reviewing wines at Costco:

I heard that the Kirkland brand wines are pretty good as well.

Wish we had one closer to me. Closest one is in Milwaukee.

Picked up one of those wine aerators. Yeah, they really, really work. We did the blind taste test.

I've had a few of the Kirkland branded wines.....all were good and a Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand was amazing. It's gone from here but I'll find the label again and post it.

It was Ti Point...if you can still find it buy a few....very tasty.

I got one for my wife for New Years eve. You either have to have an aerator or open your bottle a good hour before serving.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

    And a decanter.

I don't drink whites - are you supposed to let them breathe too?

No idea. I don't drink whites unless it is part of a wine pairing at a restaurant.
