Seriously, I also forgot Dire Straits and Faith No More.
    And that's it.
I'm done naming bands. For now.
Faith No More! Hell yah! "Album of the Year" was one amazing album. Good note to go out on.

Right now I'm jamming to a band called Office of Strategic Influence, a pseudo-super band made up of members of Fates Warning (Jim Matheos), Porcupine Tree (Stephen Wilson), and Dream Theater (Mike Portnoy, Kevin Moore). Prog rock/metal with a touch of techno. Good stuff. Check it out if you have the opportunity.

Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith (pre-diet/crystal meth) are gonna be (twin) sisters.
Have we all seen the picture of Britney using her child as an airbag?
Doesn't seem all that long ago that many (myself included) though she was HOT. Time is a killer.
    Stupid time.

I just subscribed to napster and was listening to a indie playlist and some of the bands are really good. I gotta admit ive been listening to too much popular musics and is missing a whole damn lot.

    I have sooooo many.

I used to manage bands in Sydney, 22 years ago. Boy, I cringe when I say that. My only claim to fame is that Crowded House's manager took over one of the bands I managed, however, they only made 1 album the fizzled. I was 20 years old at the time!

(Tyler, that's prolly why we get along! I know you're a manager, too.)

Anyways, a lot of my faves are Aussie bands, prolly defunct by now.

The Angels, Mental As Anything, et al from that era had to be lived through the be believed. The Sydney Pub Circuit was amazing for a young goon like me. Those days will never come back. But, I was far too young to know what I had and to really savour it.....

Good for you. They continue to spoon feed you crap and tell you its great. I know you love cold play. Another great band is Reindeer Section. A supergroup of Scottish artists (arab strap, snow patrol, etc.).

Thanks I-Mike. That sure brings back some memories! I the the Oils are still around, they must be 50 year olds by now. The Gurus, I dunno about what happened to them. They were hugely popular, though they never made it internationally like Midnight Oil...

  16. #96
I still like the old Midnight Oil.

I like a lot of stuff on that list, Nick. Perhaps I'm not so old after all.

Jack, the new Better than Ezra cut, "juicy" hit local radio for the first time this morning and I immediately thought of you. I like it--nice hook.
