Or college student. The way they have it set-up is really stupid. College students are supposed to be dependents because financial aid has an expected parental contribution.

College students are supposed to be grown people capable of fending for themselves. Most college students enjoy that aspect of actually standing on their own for the first time even if it means eating dirt while living in an overpriced slumlord special. Weird.

It's nice when parents can help their kids, but expecting it is a little presumptuous for a number of reasons - socially and economically.

Has anyone received their stimulus checks yet? I got something in the mail a week ago. How long does it take to get the deposit? I think ours said 05/16/2008...so she we feel rich this weekend?

Have you checked your account? I was supposed to be in the last group to get them through direct deposit and mine was in the bank on Monday.

It must be taking Uncle Sam a while to send out those stimulus payment. My letter said I was suppose to get ours on the 16th, and today is the 21st and still have not received it. Just like the help most homeowners were hoping for .... taking too long.
