Jeebus, the 'tacks don't want to give themselves any chance today. Everytime I click over there, Tenn's racking up another PI call.Originally Posted by GrnBay007

Now that Brett is comfortable, he is playing FAR better than Aaron is this season. Man, its not even close right now. Sad, we probably would have one loss with Favre and likely be in the drivers seat for the playoffs. Instead, we are in 3rd place in the division (for today, anyway).

That's true that its impossible to 100% accurately predict the record, thats what I think.Originally Posted by Rastak
But, anyone with a pair of eyes can see the effect that Favre has on an offense. The Jets are running all the short passes we ran last year with great success. We are limited to but a few routes, and never use the middle of the field anymore!!
I have to admit Favre does have an aura about him. It also helps when you have 2 FA pickups and 2 1st round picks in that line that are playing very well.Originally Posted by Partial
The Jets D played lights out today. They disrupted Collins and shut down the run for the most part. The one thing that Tenn. did today they didn't do vs. the Packers was turn the ball over. That Johnson fumble in Tenn. territory was a backbreaker.
Kudos to the Jets. They thoroughly outplayed Tenn. today. #4 played very well. They had a very balanced attack in run and short passes.

Man, that was a good game by Brett. It looks like they did a self scout and broke some tendencies because Tennessee was really off balance. It'sl ike Tenn was looking run and got pass and then looking pass and got screen for the first 2 quarters. Musta been something in the formation that had Tennesee guessing wrong every time. They also took advantage of the 3rd/4th string DB's.
As far as how Brett played, I sure miss those short passes right in the breadbasket of the WR, away from the DB. I don't think I've ever seen a more reliable slant/short out. I turned off the game late in the 3rd quarter because it looked over to me, so maybe I missed something, but he looked erratic and unreliable down field. He threw the pick, which was more of a bad decision than bad pass. He didn't complete anything over 14 yds in the air when I turned it off. He can get it down there, but the guy we have seems to have better down field accuracy and decision making. That said, Favre is savvy as fuck right now and short stuff is hard to stop esspecially when the LBS can't jsut jump slants with the Jets having a really good run game to watch for too. That team has a better running game and defense than we had, even last year. Honestly, I wouldn't be suprised if they make it to the SB because they're good and Brett fits in really well short, low risk passing attack they run.
Good game by Brett. Good game by their defense. I don't think he could save this defense, but man, he sure might bring us a high draft pick playing in NY.
LOL low risk passing attack? They run a pretty intense offense with passes over the middle of the field between defenders consistently. I'd say our passing attack is far less risk.
The running games are probably about even. Grant was dynamite second half of last year.
Shit, the Jets have 5 very winnable games to finish out their season. Brett's playing great. Their defense is playing great. They're healthy as fuck (similar to us last year). The AFC is down in a big way with Merriman and Brady out and Manning having an off year with the knee injury and average surrouding cast. The Giants are the best team in the NFC, but they're missing some big time playmakers on defense with Strahan and Osi gone.
It could be the magical season Brett fans have always hoped for. The Cowboys could get dangerous down the stretch if they get healthy. I'm not a Brett fan (a bit of a hater since the off season stint acctually), but as far as NFL goes I'm a Packer fan first and formost so I'd be happy to see them get in the SB and lose so we'd get the 31st overall pick out of that trade.
sorry, NFLN agrees with me. they called it a "dart"Originally Posted by Freak Out
