I think that has to be it cuz remember John's story has had alot to do with having faith he could go on the walkabout, walk, get shot and not die, get his legs broken out the skin, all kinds of shit but if he kept his head up it will work out.that guy is great isn't he, he plays the role to perfectionGood point. I don't think they're on the island. I think they're at the Hydra station from the logo that Caesar was looking at on the folders.
I think John is back alive. I also think that begs the question of whether Christian is actually alive and perhaps "died" to get all of those people back on the Island.
I have heard there is a common belief that resurrection cannot occur if one commits suicide, so perhaps that is why Ben did it. Then again, it seems if as soon as he heard Eloise Hawkin, he did it as I think he felt that he knew too much and if he visited her, somehow information could get back to Widmore? Not sure.
I maintain Ben will be a good guy when all is said and done.

Island is in all fucked up time, I agree, but I think that the reason those peeps dissappeared is that they're in a different timeline.

well i think we just got one giant answer from this episode
they went back in time to 1974, and now they're in 1977
when the plan crashes the second time with the ocieanic 6 they are taken back to 1977, to the time when the other survivors are.
they bring john locke back with them, he comes back to life.
he will become the leader of the others like he told richard alpert in the 50's. he will then be the man giving alpert and ben the orders to wipe out dahrma.
