The above depicts just how HOT it was in "the Montreal area ", yesterday. 104 Deg. PLUS F (where I live) and "the worst humidity" I have ever experienced.
Thunder and lightning storm last night, was the most spectacular most violent I've witnessed. A REALLY BIG SHOW !
For over one hour the storm hung over my home and flash's of lightning with the intervals never longer than 3-4 seconds. No fireworks display could compete with what I witnessed last night.
Fortunately we didn't loose OUR electrical power, yet many residents on the Isle.of Montreal did and are without POWER with emergency crews short people were called in fr.vacation. As of 8 a.m., 53,000 people had no power on the Island of Montreal. 135,000 had no electricity in the Laurentians.
A Montreal motorist was killed when a tree fell on his car near Cote des Neiges cemetary. Another man was killed in the Mauricie community of St-Alexie-des-Monts when he was struck by lightning.
I have never witnessed a lightning storm like last evening,that started at about 9:10 PM Eastern - ended about 10:25 PM.
