wow, the colts at the bottom. I guess Manning really is the MVP of the league.

I didn't think the Colts would plummet this far. But I am glad the Packers have regained home field advantage. It makes me almost want to thank Jim Harbaugh.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The Saints will beat the Bucs and play at GB, and the Lions will thrash the Giants and play at San Fran in Round Two of "Our coach can beat up your coach."

Hate to bring this up or even mention it; but Packers offense is better suited for domes/warmer weather than cold & windy conditions. Just saying!

    Tell that to the Bears.

Thanks again Cali, also if the packers is boring when on top, I hope to complain about boredom well into next year.
Also I am with mmmdk, our fine tuned offence plays better in good conditions. Same with our ball hawk defence. Home feild is nice, but I don't fear a comfy dome ojn the road.

Obligatory 'We control our own Destiny' post!

Funniest part of this is that the winless Rams are slotted to draft 3rd

    I missed my chance, darn.
So if you were the rams and drafted first would you select Luck or trade out and stick with bradford? Bradford is looking like pennington for ypa but not as accurate, however he was a first draft last year. That is a lot spent one one position.

You did! Got in here first, and dropped the ball.

The Rams would be in a weird spot for sure. There's a lot of money spent on Bradford, he got the last of the big paydays, but I think you have to look at that as a sunk cost. This league is all about QB's, and if you think Luck is better, then you have to take him.

With the new salary structure though, you may see teams much more willing to trade up to the top of the draft. A couple of years ago, I feel you didn't want to be there because of the premium it would cost you.

If Palmer is worth a first and a second round pick, Bradford or Luck will bring in value down the road.
Ron Wolf would get them cheap and sell high.
It is the old short term value v. long term value argument. Which leads one to ask who safe is the GM in his job?

It will be much easier to trade high 1st round picks with the new CBA and limits on compensation.

So with that in mind, in 2004 (i think) manning was worth two 1st's a 3rd and a 5th. I would say that is the lowest that Luck could go for. Is it conceivable some one approaches Baltimores Elway demand of 3 1sts and 2 2nds?

Hehe, I saw this one coming! Yet, whatshisname, replaced Cutler and almost brought the Bears back into the NFC Champ game. Thank you, BJ Raji.
