In the 'almost a Packer' department - Blake Bortles signs with the Saints lol. Dude is raking in some money flying around the country to be a stand-by emergency QB! He came back to the Packers for the KC game after being cut at the tend of TC and wasn't he (briefly) with another team in the interim?

Great way to see some great NFL matchups from a prime view - and get paid to do it.

Not exactly a "Packer still pursuing the dream", but Jordan Rodgers is broadcasting the Purdue game (Music City Bowl). He may have to work overtime.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Chris Banjo, of "More Banjo" fame made a big play in last weeks game. The Cards ran a fake punt. Banjo threw a first down pass to a wide receiver who made a helmet catch to keep the Birds alive. Banjo is 31 and has played for four NFL teams. Mainly an ST guy, he has lashed together a multi year career as an NFL fringe guy. He has pursued the dream and has caught it.

As in the case of Taysom Hill, Ted Thompson blew it. Banjo coulda been a starting NFL quarterback, probably a superstar.

Ty Montgomery remains to be a "what could have been" for me. He looked quite crisp to me before that horrible ankle injury. I remember seeing that thing just buckle under him.

Per source, Raiders WR coach Edgar Bennett will interview with the Bills for their offensive coordinator job.

Per source, Broncos adding Ben Steele, a Colorado product from Palisades and Mesa State, to their offensive staff. A former TE, Steele caught Aaron Rodgers' first professional TD pass in 2005 preseason game. Steele was Vikings asst OL coach in 2021 under OC Klint Kubiak. #9sports
Was at a Packer/Viking game Nov. 14, 2004. Vikings had tied the game with just over a minute left. Robert Ferguson fumbled the ensuing kickoff after a 37 yard return. There was a huge fight for the loose ball and Vikings insisted they had recovered it, but Steele came out with the ball. Ryan Longwell kicked a field goal on the last play of the game for the win.

I was in downtown Minneapolis at the Rock Bottom Brewery and the Vikings did recover it. He pulled it away but possession is nine tenths of the law back then. Boy was I pissed as expected.

Donatell actually didn't do a bad job as DC for the Packers. He got fired because Mike Sherman needed a scapegoat after 4th and 26.

To no one's surprise, Mike Smith hired by Vikings as OLB coach.
