Showed up at training camp with a back injury. Sat out most of training camp. Played opening week and the back flared up on him again. Had back surgery and played in playoff game.

Yea, it looked like he basically missed the year. Didn't follow NFL nearly as much last year. Did catch all the Vikings games and maybe 3-4 Packers games. Seems like a good signing.

really good player if he can get back to 100%

i don't like the idea of him being a viking at all

so i just read an article that said. smiths agent went to the ravens with a contract, and the ravens agreed right away. so smiths agent comes back the next day with a new deal for even more money, and the ravens say "sure". then smith comes back the 3rd day with a totally different contract and the ravens told him to get fucked

    Dude had a HUGE leg

Was really surprised we let him go

Bad deal it turns out to give away a draft pick for a one year rental at punter
LIFE IS ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS; I JUST REALIZED THIS. The MILWAUKEE BUCKS have won the same number of championships over the past 50 years as the Green Bay Packers. Ten years from now, who will have more championships, and who will be the fart in the wind ?

My guess is his release was probably due to Bisaccia coming to the conclusion his holding was a major reason for the Packers placekicking problems last year. If so, he needed to go.

Or you teach Jordan Love or Randall Cobb to hold. I mean it doesn't HAVE to be the punter.

Having the punter as holder gives you more consistency from year to year. Teams change backup QB's all the time, but teams with a good punter usually hold onto them.

For a vet who'd punted in Buffalo, it was surprising how bad he was in December and January.

And if punters are the holders, and he sucked at it - which he did - then yes, he had to go.

Maybe now we know why Buffalo didn't keep him.

Weird. He didn't seem like coach material at the time. Guess he grew into it.

Yeah, T-Buck as a coach is a weird thought.

    Says something for him, actually.

In the 'didn't think I'd ever hear that name again' department, Geronimo Allison has a tryout with the Giants.

He opted out in 2020, then bounced back and forth between the practice squad and the 54 man for Detroit last year, appearing in 3 games. I thought he was out of the league.

Chris Odom is the USFL Defensive Player of the Year. He had a stint with the Packers in 2017. He has been all over the place in his short career.
