Alex McGough and Jace Sternberger are quite a connection tonight -- 25-yard touchdown for a 21-0 Birmingham lead on Memphis just before halftime. Sternberger already with 123 receiving yards on four catches, McGough up to 197 with 2 TDs.

He can’t block. Not much use for a TE in the NFL that can’t block. Might as well use another WR if that’s the case.

I was looking through the daily arrest records on Green Bay police and crime reports and Letroy Guion just got sentenced to one year jail for felony assault.

The #Jets are signing veteran OL Billy Turner to a 1-yr deal worth up to $3.15 million, per source.

It’s the latest reunion with Aaron Rodgers and Nathaniel Hackett, who coached Turner in Green Bay and Denver. Turner has 75 career starts.

Wow lol they are getting the band back together. Wasn't he hurt last year? Was thinking he's been hurt a lot lately.

Turner was a good pickup for GB back in the day and that's a cheap deal.
I would think he will help the Jets OL depth and might even start.

A reunion: Former Packers’ WR Randall Cobb is expected to agree to a one-year deal with the New York Jets, allowing him to play with Aaron Rodgers in NY, per sources. The two men who walked off the field together in Green Bay now get to do more work to do together.

Za'daius Smith went to the Browns for a swapping of Saturday picks.

Wow. He's a very talented guy, but there's something about him that make teams think he's expendable. Could be the injuries he's racking up. Could be his me-first, free-lancing attitude. Something.

For sure, he guesses a lot. Leaves a lot of big runs open. Obviously his willingness to guess and give up his gap integrity has helped him get home on a bunch of sacks. But it comes at a price. And he seems emotionally fragile too.

Zadarius is something of a mercenary, out-for-himself guy. Given the length of NFL careers, I somewhat understand - he's trying to maximize his earnings - but I question the way he does it. The exit from GB, the almost signing with BAL, now MIN.
He wanted Minny to trade/cut him and they finally did. I suspect he's the type where if he's unhappy he can ruin a locker room. I wonder how many teams will cross him off their FA list when his contract ends.

I would guess many. He's starting to get up there in age, what with his injury history. And if what you write is true, then I imagine his value is going down and will continue to do so.

Jack Heflin signs with Saints. I think Heflin might be like Lawrence Guy. A D-lineman the Packers gave up on too soon.

Heflin played 4 games with the Packers in 2021 with 1 assisted tackle.
One game with the Giants in 2022 with no stats.
Played in XFL and the Saints will take a flyer on him for training camp.
Hardly qualifies as giving up on him when no one else has been interested.

Well they sure could use him now. Their DL is Clark, Wyatt, Slaton, Wooden, Brooks, Ford and a bunch of street guys.
That's a drop off from last year IMO. If Clark or Slaton gets hurt the DL is tissue paper.

They will rush the passer a little better, but they are going to have problems stopping the run.

So what the Jets learned from getting Favre in 2008 was that collecting one over the hill Packer was not enough. They have to get as many as possible.
Fire Murphy, Gute, MLF, Barry, Senavich, etc!

As the official Packerrats Packers historian, it is my duty to remind you that Bert “Dick Pic” Favor wasn’t the only ex-Packer who migrated to New Jersey that season. Bubba Franks also slothed there.

Franks, slow as a sloth, was somewhat of a TD machine in the Green and Mustard Yellow. Egotistical Ron Wolf overdrafted Franks in the first round to mock Mark Chmura, the infamous TE infamously known for sharing a hot tub with a bunch of teen chicks.
