I saw Danny Etling is the starting QB for the UFL Michigan Panthers.
He will be 30 this summer. He must really love football.

Who among us wouldn't want to get paid to play a boy's game? I think sometimes about the career minor league baseball players. They don't make very much money at all, most of them, but it would be hard to say no to getting paid to play a game you loved as a kid. At least until you start your family, if you decide to do that.

As for the grammar part, all I will say is that I used to watch Hockey Night in Canada sometimes, and I always got a kick out of the Canadian announcers saying "The team are on the ice!"

    It were amusing.

Who among us wouldn't do that, given the chance. Besides, even though it's minor league, I'm pretty sure those guys make a helluva lot more than your average doctor or lawyer or whatever.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I would hope the average doctor would make more than $5k per week.

According to the league, each player gets a salary of $50,000 plus a weekly housing stipend of $400, which starts at the end of training camp and lasts for a minimum of 10 weeks.
