Thread: Former Packers still pursuing the dream

  1. #161
Regardless of who Patler is after, Breno Giacomini is still finding work after Seattle grew tired of his pass blocking lapses. He's on the Jets, where they do not care about the condition of the QB because he usually is just handing off.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

More in the vein of "pursuing the dream", Matt Flynn will work out for the Cowboys who could use an experienced back-up with Romo down.

    Scott Tolzien for Tyron Smith.

Matt Hasselbeck started for the first time in three years and pulled out a come-from-behind thriller at home against Jacksonville. He even kept it once on the read-option. I was listening to the radio broadcast with my eight-year-old while doing yard work. In typical eight-year old fashion he wanted to know if Hasslebeck is good or not. The only response I could think of was that he's pretty good as long as you don't actually have to use him.

Ex-#Packers G Mike Wahle just named Dolphins' asst TE coach. He entered coaching in 2015 as team's sports performance asst under Joe Philbin

Garth Gearhart is looking for work, cut from Browns' practice squad.
Brandon Bostick found work, on the Cardinal's practice squad.

I'm surprised Bostick still has PS eligibility.

Eligibility was expanded a couple years ago. Now, each team can have 2 players with no more than two accrued seasons toward free agency. Bostick had two seasons with the Packers.

Haven't been in this thread in a while but Na'il Diggs is a name I feel I last heard 10 years ago. Maybe my memory is fuzzy, but dang, this insists more research.

The two other quarterbacks on #Colts' payroll are former #Packers, separated by 15 years:

    Matt Hasselbeck (1998-200)

    Matt Blanchard (2015)
