The Official Balding Eagles Discussion Thread

Sanchez, an ex-college football star, is looking good tonite in Kelly's college football system.

Their defense is eating out Cam Newton alive. Newton looks like he has regressed this season.

Claymaker is gonna have to play tons of ILB next week against Sproles and McCoy. Perry needs to step up his game.

I like the Pack's DBs over the Eagles' WRs.

Panthers GM needs to be put on sabbatical to fight the narcolepsy that struck during the offseason.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

It's like last night's game never ended...

Cam is really playing poorly, but he looks more like he's in some serious pain more than anything else. He looked like he was moving pretty tentatively even before the first sack, and they're up to 7 now. He's looking kind of bulky, is he wearing a flak jacket?

Narcolepsy, eh? That's a hard word. Thankfully for the internet, the best thing since sliced bread (no more going to the video store to rent porn and being embarrassed when a hot chick ring you up), I was able to look up its meaning in 5 seconds.

    What happened in the off-season?

He's still in the game in 4th quarter, so must be fine.

Someone's fucking with me, trying to lose me my fantasy football game this week, that's why he's in. Newton's the opposing QB, and if he gets 20pts, I lose. Well, he's got two garbage time TDs so far, and it up to 15 points so it's looking pretty bad for me!

We'll see Clay & Casey Matthews at inside linebacker this Sunday, if football gods cooperate.

This is going to be a tough one. Sproles is scary good and looks faster than I've ever seen him. Their WRs always seem to get open....quickly. Their TEs are gonna kill us in the middle of the field. Their defense, at least pass rush as been coming on lately. Their secondary is their weak spot, but their improving pass rush has been making up for that. And then you have Sproles, again, returning Punts.

Packers have to get after Dirty Sanchez, stop Sproles and McCoy and give A-Rod time in the pocket. Glad that it's in Lambeau-field.

Large scale talent drain. Receivers weren't world class to begin with, but they left and were replaced with dreck. The Patriots, who have had receiver troubles of their own, took LaFell away from them. Jason Avant was the big addition. They do still have Olsen.

Its not the only problem; the D has collapsed and Newton doesn't look good or healthy. But the GM did a mini rebuild last year.

What's the Packers record in their throwback uniforms - cause their wearing them on Sunday. That's the only thing that matters right now.

Packers are 3-0 in the current throwback uniforms.

Throwback uniforms are dumb, they have tiny numbers that can't be picked up on TV. Ya, it was cute once or twice - enough!

Nostalgia fans should go watch civil war re-enacters, or better yet attend a renaissance faire on Sunday

I took a quick look this morning to see Philly's D is rated 8th in DVOA. They haven't seen an offense like Green Bay's this year, though, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Didn't realize the Case-Maker is still with the Balding Eagles. A quick google search indicates that Casey Matthews is splitting time at ILB with another balding Eagle in place of an injured DeMeco Ryan.

Ah, I recall reading something in September or October about Steve Smith being pissed with the Panthers GM.

Next off-season, the GM oughta trade Kuechly to the Packers for AJ Hawk and and 1st and 3rd picks.

Or they could come over to my house and watch my home movies.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

The players numbers are not small like the originals. I understand the players love the pants with these uniforms. Evidently they are more comfortable than the regular yellow ones.
