Burnett has to call coverages and adjustments from the backfield, someone needs to be make call neat the LOS for the LBs and lineman.

If Burnett held down both jobs, he could never line up deep. I believe Lattimore has had the radio and made calls before when Hawk was injured. He was out there with the short guy.

Can you imagine Ray Nitschke being tied to a radio all game long? That thing wouldn't survive the 1st quarter, I guarantee it.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Who is doubling Gronk in your defense?

And the Patriots favorite alignment that I have seen this year is double TEs. Amendola hasn't been available for stretches and Wright at TE has come on. They will split one of the TEs out at times.

Williams has got to cover Edelman. Shields is going to get LaFell.

BTW, I think this is all about Hawk being injured in some fashion.

So his pass rush is Guion, Daniels, Jones/Boyd and Neal?

Brady will have all day to let Gronk lose his double team. You can't send both you best pass rushers into coverage unless its 3rd and 38.

Capers is going to have to mix it up which means Gronk is going to see a lot of different bodies.

If the Packers focus TOO much on Gronk, they will get shredded elsewhere. Patsies are gonna run the Tampa Titan at them, hoping he will recreate his former Lambeau Field glory. I'm guessing 200+ rushing yards for the Patsies. They probably still lose though...

Sorry, pb. That was sarcasm. I should have included a smiley face or something.

I was only being half sarcastic when I suggested in another thread that Adrian Hubbard spy Gronk the whole game and then don't let him get off the LOS by all but tackling him on every play. Of course, the tackling part might be the weakness of my plan.

I certainly hope so or he's even slower than I thought. He was getting roasted by Rudolph.

Your line is going to have a rotation of all those guys - depending on situation.

If it's either or, you should have Boyd or Guion on the field, along with Daniels and D.Jones/Perry. You've got Neal, Matthews and Peppers standing up.

If it's clearly a passing situation, your line should be D. Jones, Daniels, and Perry; and the same 3 LB's.

It's not that complicated - and I have news for ya, there's no rule that says you can't rush 5; nor is there any rule that says you can't play zone underneath, cheat your Safeties up, or double the TE.

Of course dunderdummy will revert back to his default gameplan against elite QB's which is to play the 2-4, and play softer and softer in coverage. Gronk could have 3 or 4 TD's, and Brady is going to go off. Not to mention the fact that they should run for 150+

If dunderdummy comes out in a 3-3 nickel, and plays it the way I've outlined, we might-could have a chance; but if he reverts to his nature?? Well, we've seen that show a million times - haven't we??

LIFE IS ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS; I JUST REALIZED THIS. The MILWAUKEE BUCKS have won the same number of championships over the past 50 years as the Green Bay Packers. Ten years from now, who will have more championships, and who will be the fart in the wind ?

Radio communication is irrelevant pertaining to post-huddle communications/adjustments, as the NFL goes radio silence after the first 30 seconds or so of the play clock.

In other words, no reason Burnett can't handle the play call stuff.

I was just watching an NFL Shortcuts of a 2012 Packers-Vikings game, and Hawk wasn't as reluctant a tackler then as he is now, but he still ran like shit then as he does now.

Hawk's not injured. He hasn't showed up on the weekly injury report. The guy's lost a step. That's the cold hard truth.

Only about 100 people on talk radio have mentioned how slow Hawk looked. I noticed on three different plays where he looked hobbled. I can imagine that Big Mike could want to try and keep it under wraps.

If he's not injured, he's cooked.
