Eric Mangini, Pat Shurmur headline Raiders' list

" Oakland's current list of candidates hardly suggests the "rock star" that owner Mark Davis was supposedly desperate to unearth after firing Dennis Allen in September.

Along with interim coach Tony Sparano, the Raiders have asked to speak with 49ers assistant Eric Mangini, Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio. "

Del Rio and Mangini? Hardly a murder's row. Del Rio totally lost the Jaguars locker room his last season there, and Man-genius had consecutive 5-11 seasons with the Browns with multiple reports coming out that the players hated him.

The only re-tread worse than these 2 is McDaniels and his 'all free agents, all the time' experiment in Denver. Oh wait, I see from your other post someone is looking at that clown too!

Fair enough. If Justin Bieber isn't American, he should be.

Google Bud Grant >>> Wikipedia (Bud Grant) > Observe Date and Place of birth.

He's good enough looking to be a Canadian.

Rex Ryan is reportedly a candidate for the Falcons job. Matty Ice will be splitting time with Brad Smith inside of a year.

Rex and Lovie suffer from the same disease: cannot trust the offense unless they fear the offense being installed. This is usually fatal in the case of coaches.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The #Bears have requested permission to speak with #Broncos OC Adam Gase, source says. Add that to the #49ers and #Falcons

I don't understand the leagues fascination with Rex Ryan as a head coach.

Mike Shanahan has been contacted by the 49ers, do you understand that?

    Rex with ATL?

Somebody to square up the D and a new OC to keep Ryan going?

I can see how Blank would go for it.

Head Coaches are losing turf battles this offseason.

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer 1h1 hour ago
Eagles announce that VP of player personnel Tom Gamble is out, as @mortreport said a few minutes ago. That qualifies as a stunner.

Gamble was Kelly's guy brought over from the 49ers. Howie Roseman captures back the some power he lost last year when Kelly forced the team to dump DeSean Jackson.

I read that the Jags were interested in the ATL OC (Koetter?) if he was dumped by the new regime.

Doug Marrone of Buffalo opts out of his contract after 2 years.

Reports are that he had opt out due to change in ownership. Also, he is reported to be the favorite for the Jets job.
