I'm pretty sure we can find a cheaper kick returner. Bush has to be on his way out some day. TWill....tough to give up on a corner when House would be his replacement.
Being a GM is tough work. Ted is probably in his closet right now stroking the hair of Tank...I mean APB....I mean Tyrion. Maybe that's why he hates Thompson so bad? He spurned his advances?

    Keep
    TWill
    Cobb
    House
    Richardson
    Barclay
    Guion

    On the fence
    Bulaga
    Harris
    Boykin
    Lattimore
    Tolzien

    Drop
    Bush
    Raji
    Flynn
    Kuhn

BJ is better than Letroy and he won't cost a fortune. Unless we find a better tackle I'd keep Bulaga before I'd keep Harris or Boykin.

Are the signing bonuses in there, Tony?

Yup, being a GM is a tough gig.

Keep this DT and let a WR go?

I've never figured out what criteria they have to make those choices sometimes.

Not sure what the cap situation will look like but you're probably looking at $35 mil next year with this group - Cobb, Williams and Bulaga being the most expensive. About $25 mil is offset by the same list of players' current contracts. Not sure it that works given existing bumps due to Rodgers, Matthews, Peppers, etc.

Might have to see a couple guys like Hawk & Jones go away depending on their hits to the cap, not that that's a bad thing at this point.

Here is where I got the numbers from...it was a weird copy and paste.

I actually did too...I had to actually think hard to realize he was on IR.

I saw him rooting around on the sideline at the Eagle game.

    He looked slightly less rotund.

I largely agree. However, you left out Bulaga who I would make a high priority.

Tolzien or Flynn need to be re-signed, no more Seneca Wallace!

Rodgers cap hit in 2015 only goes up 700K. Matthews goes up 1.8 mil. Jordy's goes down 1.3 mil in 2015 and the accelerates after that. Peppers cap hit goes up 8.5 mil. He's playing for a 1 mil base salary this year. That will be interesting. They could save about 3.5 mil by cutting Brad Jones. Same for Hawk. I think one of them will be gone. I think they could sign Tramon for less than his current cap hit of 9.5 mil.

Cobb is a no brainer. Barclay should be a no brainer if he's medically fine.

Bulaga is slightly risky. At one point he looked like an eventually pro bowler at right tackle but this year he's not looked as good. Doubt about him will factor into his next contract and he could prove to be a slight bargain or a slight disappointment if he never gets back on track. Maybe a short deal is in order.

House is a little riskier. He hadn't shown much until his contract year. I think he's worth bringing back.

Tramon is risky. He's getting up there in age and his best two season have been in contract years. Fool Ted once its shame on you, fool Ted twice its shame on Ted. He's a good player but with our embarrassment of riches at cornerback I think we've got to move on, save some bucks, and hope he gets a Grimes type deal to get us a comp pick.

Richardson I want back. He should cost nothing but the guy has shown some football ability and monster upside.

I don't see what has changed for Raji. Bring him back for all the same reasons he was brought back this time.

Boykin should get a contract so he can participate in the camp battle next year.

I'd love to have Harris back but he might have outgrown the roles we've got for him.

I actually do want Bush back. By all accounts he's a great teammate and the hardest working bastard in the league. He's unique in that he's got those veteran lead-by-example type qualities without all the messy pride and contract expectation of a former star.

You gotta have a fullback so if Kuhn wants the job he can sign for peanuts and compete against a UDFA next year.

Flip a coin between Flynn and Tolzien. I don't care. I think Flynn holds a better clipboard and Tolzien is the better actual QB.

There is a number I'd pay to get back Guion and Lattimore but they wouldn't like it.
70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

    Show them the money:
    Cobb
    Bulaga

    Resign without breaking the bank:
    Williams
    House
    Richardson
    Barclay
    Tolzien
    Guion
    Barclay

Keep if they are dirt cheap:
    Harris
    Raji
    Boykin

    Bye-bye:
    Kuhn
    Flynn
    Lattimore
Fire Murphy, Gute, MLF, Barry, Senavich, etc!

Unless of course Shields' concussion turns into a career ending hamstring injury.

Count me in for wanting more Bush. Slocum needs all the help,he can get........

    Cobb: keep... Pay him.
Bulaga: probably keep... He is not a great player, but he is a good player. Unless someone ponies up for him and pays him like an All-Pro, we should sign him.
Williams: probably keep... He is not as good was Woodson was for us. He's better than Shields. Would be a mistake to let him go unless the price is just crazy.
House: probably keep... He's still young and can play the outside. He will probably get a 1-year deal, but we cannot overpay.
Richardson: probably keep... Good special teamer and will be cheap.
Tolzien: probably keep... He won't get any big offers in free agency. Now that he's more acquainted with the offense, he's the backup in 2015
Guion: probably keep... Depends on Raji and what kind of sniffs he gets in free agency.
Barclay: probably keep... Depending on how his knee recovers. He won't have a big price tag due to the injury.
Harris: probably keep... We'd have to draft a RB or strike gold with an UDFA to let him walk. He's cheap.
Raji: probably keep... He's a decent player and I can't imagine the market being that good for his services.
Boykin: let him go... Janis, Abby, and Dorsey are going to be cheaper and one will turn into a player
Bush: probably let go... Bring him into camp if he doesn't get any interest in FA
Kuhn: let him go... Finding a similar player to replace him would probably be easy and definitely be cheaper
Flynn: probably let him go... Could be the right draft to pick up a QB, or else wise just stick with Scotty
Lattimore: let him go... Easily replaced.

Before the season, I would have said James Jones type number for Cobb, which probably would mean losing him. However, he seems to have bulked up and become more sturdy without losing his speed and shiftiness. I now see him as elite. Give him Jordy type money, but draw the line there. Bulaga won't be all that expensive - keep him - he seemed better this year than even the year before his knee injury when he was inexplicably mediocre. I think we can afford Tramon if it is for only 1-2 years. He's still NFL starter quality. I want to see Harris back and used more in the running game. IMO he's better than Starks. Guion is head and shoulders better than Raji. They just better not lose him and pay Raji the same or more than Guion would cost. Tolzien over Flynn, hell yeah! Barclay yes - he will be cheap. Boykin will be #6 with Abbrederis coming back, but he will be like Bush - worth a pittance for his special teams play. Kuhn for the vet. minimum assuming they don't do my pet idea that will never happen - go back to split backs. I never had the high opinion many do for Richardson, but dirt cheap he's worth keeping.

Off topic, but: Jumal Rolle looked great last week for Houston - sure wish we had him instead of Goodson (come on, Goodson, make me eat my words next year).
