It's called being 39 years old. In the NFL dog years, that equates to about 85.

If Manning has any pride, he will hang it up. Otherwise, he's going to have an embarrassment like Favre's last season coming up.

Colts and Luck have been very impressive. Perfect game plan for stopping Peyton.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Having a guy able to kickoff over the end zone every time is an invaluable weapon. This guy from the Colts is fantastic.

Broncos going to lose at home. Who woulda thunk it?

Poor Broncos. They went all in to build a team around Peyton to win now, and then Peyton collapses.

That team they built around him could have played better. That was a lot of money wasted.

The grind of a 16 game season takes its toll. I think his arm strength seemed to diminish from last year.

I think the Broncos are on the hook for $20M+ salary for next year. I can't imagine he will be any better.

I wonder how 'guaranteed' that $20M is? Peyton showed once before, during his last season with the Colts, that he has no problem collecting his paycheck when not playing. You could argue that he has already earned that money with the success the Broncos have had while he is there, but if they're paying him that money to not play they will struggle to field a competitive team.

I don't feel sorry for them. If you waste a bunch of cash building around a 39 year old QB, you deserve the hole you dug for yourself.

I'm amazed the Colts got pounded by the Cowboys like they did about a month ago...considering the performance they just rung up.

This lose by the BRONCOS today.

If you've been paying close attention it should be no surprize.

The Peyton Manning experiment is over. The thing I suspect.

Peyton Manning doesn't get it. He'll continue as he still has records to achieve.

I'm thinking of Brett Favre and his last season. I'm thinking of Johnny Unitas (1971-73 or even before that) and Joe Montana (1993-94) and how many others that stay too long in Pro Sports.

As I watched Peyton Manning today I felt he really doesn't get it. When he exited the stadium for the locker room he even failed to acknowledge the fans cheers.

He lost a game ...so did his fans.
