Official Packers - Cowboys Game Thread 01/11/2015

This is what they play the games for!

Finally at long last, the Packers are playing their first playoff game of the year.

No matter what happens in the game, there is a certain group of posters who will blame the D. We already have one thread started by RutnStrut, "So what if the Packers lose Sunday."

I say screw the negativity, the Packers are the better team, playing at home, who for the last two years has developed an effective running game. We are going to see a lot of Lacy and Starks today. The D has improved since the bye and while they are not dominant they are not the liability they were at the beginning of the season in stretches.

Packers are going to win this one comfortably and Jerruh is going to have a lot of thinking to do on if he truly wants to extend Garrett's contract. 38-13, with ARod having his, I get to watch the 4th quarter from the bench afternoon in Lambeau.

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Nothing like a solid dose of Green Bay Packer fan 'Homerism' to kick off a Game Day Thread.

    Yaa gotta love it !

    38-13 Packers. WOW!

The Cowboys will score 30 points today.

    The Packers will score more.

    Packers 37- Cowboys 30.

Just about to leave for Lambeau. Going to be dressed in the same gear as the Eagles game in November (Similar temperature). This is no ICE BOWL II no matter what the talking heads are trying to do.

    GO PACK GO!!!

    Come on, Pack. Come on!

Man, this is the healthiest Packer team in years. Let's see what they can do.

Keep Rodgers safe! And run the football.

Go D, and dammit the ST better be better!

Lacy and Starks will play a huge role in the 'W' today.

The Packer WR's catch and protect the ball well.

    On 'D':

Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers both show up and Sam Shields and the Packer Secondary plays well.

As a fan I've got that 'good nervous feeling' in my guts.

GO PACK GO ! GO !! GO !!!

You've got to get up early on them and make them one-dimensional. That was my combo cliche.

    Wise words of the day:

If Murray starts shredding the Packers and small, soft A.J. Hawk is on the field, McCarthy needs to get him off the field fast. This is no time for sentimentality.

    Have fun Dan.

    Packers 34 Cowboys 24

Not as close as the score indicates.

After Murray's broken hand unexpectedly falls off in the first half, the Pack D takes over: Pepper with strip sack FR;TW with pick 6, Bloodline with nasty roughing Penalty on Romo followed by Gladiator pose ("Are you not entertained?"). Pack 34, cowgirls 13. 2000 miles to the West, Russell Wilson shudders in fear.

I honestly think McGinn is deserving of a bronze head as a media contributor. Probably not gonna happen b/c then they would have to include a bunch of other beat writers for other teams, too, but he's deserving, nonetheless. McGinn is the GOAT when it comes to the Packer beat.

I keep hearing the idea from the talking heads that the Cowboys should blitz.

    Yeah.
