Yep.....math was on their side, but the tail risk kicked in. All of it.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

Ya know what I wanted to see? One goddamm fucking play run at Sherman while he's holding a useless arm against his shirt. Fuck, even Kirk kicked the shit out of Khan after he had to tuck his useless hand in his belt.

Run to Sherman's side and just make him try one tackle. Throw over there and make him jam with one hand only. Anything. Geezus that was intolerable. INTOLERABLE!

You guys kicked their ass up and down the field for most of it.

Yup, and then Stubby tucked his head inside the turtle shell and the game was lost.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Does this top the TO catch after the Rice fumble, 4th and 26, and the OT Giants loss as the worst loss ever? I'm sick

The Packers had it and simply gave it away.

The Packers had what wasn't supposed to be theirs. A win in Seattle and a berth in the Super Bowl.

Most of us had to feel a win in that game but in the second half the Packers offense simply dropped out.

This will be an ugly defeat to easily overcome. It's simply embarrassing when the team has it that close to victory.

A terrible loss that will feel worse tomorrow....worse the next day after the shock is over.

oh my fucking god. Brandon fucking Bostick. He's not even supposed to be going after the high onside. That's 100% Jordy's ball. Get the fuck out of the way Bostick and hit somebody so Jordy can get the easy onside catch. Unfuckingbelievable. Biggest fuck-up in the history of NFC Championships. We had the fucking Super Bowl in firmly in our grasp. It's fucking surreal.

Great game by the defense. Historic for most of the game, but what the fuck was Matthews doing on the sideline those last few drives.

I can almost remember the fucking fake field goal but I'm not even sure if that happened. What did the D have 5 turnovers?

Losing isn't bad...comparatively....but beating yourself is what kills me. Slocums special teams has fucked up all year long, yet HE still has a job, and as per the past couple years, he'll get lit up for a couple weeks in the press and online, and next thing ya know he's right back on the sidelines next year.

Honest question, is there anything about the Packers you enjoy? All season you've bitched and moaned about a team who was, at worst, the 4th best team in the league. I admit it's tough to be positive now but I'm curious as to your response.
