This would be ok except Ted hates Badgers ! Might as well pick another college team to choose from

yes, my strategy was to stack round one/two guys to hit on at least one dam player in round one

TT struck; I'd have a better chance putting a bunch of pix up and throwing darts at the board

    Put a dagger in me

I guessed corner in round 1, so hopefully I get the ILB in round 2.

I'm seeing c- for our grade on this pick, it was called 'a very questionable pick'.

Guy could be great; guy could suck, but I can see why Ted drafted him. Let Mel kipper hand out grades; he's used to being wrong.

Love getting bad draft grades because writers didn't see it coming. Best thing ever, in the offseason anyway. Like a Nick Collins or Jennings pick all over again.

I read somewhere that when players are flying up draft boards, it means the writer just found out that the player in question is liked much more by teams than they had previously realized. It sounds like Ted was onto this kid since the Senior Bowl. I wish he was two inches taller, but otherwise seems like a perfect pick.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

    Rob's bottom line...

    30. Green Bay Packers
Damarious Randall, CB, Arizona StateThe Packers allowed 22 touchdown passes to receivers last season -- second most in the NFL, according to ESPN Stats & Information. If Randall can cover like he did at Arizona State, then it should help cut down on that total this season, whether he plays in the slot or on the outside. Thumbs up. -- Rob Demovsky
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Bob is a little more circumspect. Notes that it is a position change happening with a first round pick. Bob has him at 5' 11" and 197 with a 4.41 40. Also notes Rowe tested better athletically and was just as fast.

During the scouting process, Thompson was told by Arizona State's coaching staff that Randall could've played cornerback, but the Sun Devils kept him at safety because they were deeper at cornerback and coaches felt he was the team's best defensive player.
GB Press Gazette Pete Dougherty http://www.packersnews.com/story/spo...aker/26686007/
But Randall also might have been one of those players who slips in a little under the radar. In his teleconference with reporters in Green Bay after the selection, Randall estimated that about 12 teams talked to him about playing cornerback, whereas only seven or eight talked about safety.
Bob thinks the Packers had to be thinking about taking Brown, Dougherty thinks the other choice was Gregory.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

pb, what's the consensus on Ted's 2nd round pick? I'm thinking ILB but there are 7 teams in front of us that might also be thinking ILB as a high priority:

    49ERS
    CARDINALS
    COWBOYS
    TEXANS
    GIANTS
    REDSKINS
    COLTS

This could make it tough for TT to draft a big name ILB. Does he trade up? Or aren't any of the big names worth it. For instance, I'm thinking why pick Perryman when thumpers like Taiwan Jones and Jeff Luc will be available later?

I believe Ted does not think any of this year's crop of ilb is worth a move up, and baffles the shit out of us on his 2nd pick as well.

There is no consensus on who Ted's gonna pick in any round.
