    This story is more interesting than the road rage incident it was first reported as - Smith had just finished having dinner with the (retired) police officer who was part of a group of officers who shot Hayes' (man who killed Smith) father to death in 2005, shortly after Katrina.

    I don't see any complication.

    A man is dead and his wife wounded by another man who discharged a firearm at them multiple times after a vehicle smash up involving these parties.

    It's a cut and dried homicide....and too much else bad.
