Packers in discussions with former All-Pro (2014) Free Agent

    John Kuhn.

    http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/...kuhn/84244522/

Conversations are ongoing between the Packers and their three-time Pro Bowl fullback. The door remains open that Kuhn could play a 10th season with the Packers this fall, even though he remains unsigned with organized team activities looming.

While the Packers have moved on from other free agents such as receiver James Jones and outside linebacker Mike Neal, Kuhn’s locker remains intact inside Lambeau Field.

Maybe they're just discussing where to ship his locker: to Shippensburg?

I think Kuhn brings more value to the team than most here seem to, but I'm glad they're moving on. There's too much depth for him to push some young guy like Davis or Henry off the team this year.

So, on the same day the GBPG tells us there are ongoing discussions to bring him back, WTMJ tells us the Packers have decided to move on.

Maybe they were in discussions about his retirement announcement press conference?

Its a 3 way standoff. USAToday/Gannett/GBPG says they are talking.

ESPN/Demovsky says Kuhn hasn't heard anything.

    WTMJ says goodbye.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports free agent FB John Kuhn is unsure of his Packers future.

Green Bay radio host Greg Matzek has reported the team is "moving on" from Kuhn, but per Demovsky, Kuhn hasn't been officially informed of anything. Going on 34, Kuhn has been the Packers' fullback since 2007, but struggled while playing a modest 307 snaps last season. May 12 - 2:01 PM

    Conversations ongoing between Packers, Kuhn

    BY:Ryan Wood, USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin

" ....There remains “mutual interest” between the Green Bay Packers and fullback John Kuhn for the 2016 season but no definitive date for when a deal might be made, an NFL source told USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.

Conversations are ongoing between the Packers and their three-time Pro Bowl fullback. The door remains open that Kuhn could play a 10th season with the Packers this fall, even though he remains unsigned with organized team activities looming. "

Gotta love Twitter. Such deep, insightful analysis by Demovsky. Kuhn struggled...how?

I can't imagine what Kuhn and the Packers are talking about. I imagine if the Pack bring him back, it'll be for 1yr at the vet minimum, not a lot of discussion there. If they are talking, it's just to ask if he's staying in shape so they can call him in time for the 4th preseason game if they decide they don't like the options that went through TC. His value is in the confidence Rodgers has in him to not blow a blitz pickup and knowledge of the system. Neither of those things translate to another team.

If his phone was in the other room, he probably couldn't get to it in time to answer TTs call.

Would explain why there are three different stories.

    1. Packers called.

    2. Didn't leave voicemail.

    3. John figures if its important they'll call back.
