    Martinez and Ryan Need Nickname

Blake Martinez and Jake Ryan need a nickname. Blake 'n Jake is far too easy and a portmanteau might trigger a singularity or at least a recursive algorithm.

The Two Jakes would have been nice if Mr. and Mrs. Martinez had as much foresight as Mr. and Mrs. Ryan.

    Ideas?

Also the two fourth round picks make this defense as good as its been since 2010.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

If they play badly on Sunday, we can call them "Dumb and Dumber."
If they play well we can call them "Starsky and Hutch."
If it turns into a clownshow we can call them "Laurel and Hardy."

Wait, I got it. Martinez is hispanic, Ryan's mom is, too...and those two ILB's are cleaning up messes these days . . . so . . .

    "Spic and Span"

    The off-white hopes?

All kidding aside, we did come up with Claymaker. It took a few years for it to permeate to the media, but we have the potential to influence this one too.

I don't know, I'm afraid our day may be past. We can no longer call a spade a spade - even "oriental" is off limits unless it's a rug. The good old days are gone, the only hope for us is if a savior comes along to make America great again.

I kinda like Jon and Ponch, but that might just be a sign of age.

One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

I was thinking Jon and Ponch when I saw the thread title. Jake and Ponch.
