All the injuries on defense make it even more imperative that A-Rod be A-Rod once again. Time to take charge and carve up this Lions D. They're without their best pass rusher so should have time in the pocket.

Would you rather he see a foot specialist?

It makes no sense, because it is and always has been solid Packer territory.

It's a bit more complicated than that. Their "over the air" major network TV has ALWAYS come from Duluth, but since cable TV first came into the area in the mid-1960s, the cable provider also carried more southern stations (Wausau, Eau Claire. Green Bay, etc.) in addition to the Duluth stations. As a result, the northern WI counties always had Packer games available to them, WI state news, etc.

However, a couple years ago the NFL apparently revised their rules to prohibit importing conflicting same-network games into the Designated Market Area (DMA) of another station. The FCC then included northern WI in the DMAs of the Duluth stations. The result is that whenever the Vikings and Packers play at the same time, the cable provider can not carry the WI channel. Some of these people have had Packer games available to them for 50 years; but now, because of rules changes, they miss a lot of games. For the most part, they have also lost WI based news, as I understand it.

The NFL has provided a solution for Packer games, individuals can subscribe to the NFL Ticket Package for $250.

At least, that is the way it has been explained to me.

Why would I be delighted about that? He was "just a guy". I've never been one to be very caring or sympathetic about opponents' players getting hurt, but what's so special about this guy?
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I see that chart showed full participation for Jeff Janis. Does that mean the club is off his hand? I sure hope so. If it is, and if they have the wisdom and balls to play him, it could really perk up the offense.

Uh, Tex, just one note: Matthew Stafford is playing very well so far this year, despite a very mediocre offensive line and no running game.

    Hmmm. Just sayin'.

Janis has been full participant with club before. I have not read that its been removed.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Is he actually better with a club on special teams than the next guy up?

He's been just about as effective as last year. However, the next guy up (Banjo) has been hurt. As soon as he was cleared to practice, Zook put him in.
