Joe Callahan cut by the Saints

Will he be back in GB?
Saints let him go on Saturday.

Hmmm, this casts a dim light on Mike McCarthy's Famous School of Quarterbacking. Maybe Little Joe is more Graham Harrell than Drew Brees. MAybe he doesn't have NFL arm strength, and MM overrated him.

3rd QB is always vulnerable. Saints have guys out this week at LB, and they needed to activate one from PS. To make room, out goes the third QB, just like in GB.

We were all so excited about Callahan, but it turns out that he's just another third string QB.

If he clears waiver, J-Call will be back in dull and dark Green Bay in no time as a member of the elite practice squad. McCarthy has a thing for Callahan. JSO says a source says Fat Mike was pissed as Hades upon learning that J-Call was getting released for D-Good. Given how injure-fucked the corner position is, the Polar Bears made the right call, even though D-Good ain't a good corner (sign Cro!).

It was a mistake keeping J-Call on the 53-men battalion, but it would be a mistake not signing him to the elite practice squad if he's available.

The Saints reportedly want JC on their PS

If I were Callahan I wouldn't move to Green Bay in November. It's not like he has a shot at #2 spot in GB any year soon.

Who knows? If Monty becomes this great, hip wr-rb hybrid, Edgar Bennett might get a head coaching gag somewhere in the NFL next season. Bennett might trade for Hundley, a poor man's Dak Prescott.

How long before we find out where he lands?

Probably today. During the season, waiver claims have to be made in 24 hours, I think. Then it will be up to Callahan to decide where he wants to go, if no one has claimed him

I hope he ends up back in GB. How often do you have a QB sitting on your practice squad that has any kind of promise? We'll see what they really think of him, as they have not shown a tendency to keep a development QB on their practice squad, but rather sign a street free agent right after the season is over to get him in the off-season program, and also to sign a college free agent after the draft. Injuries unfortunately make these guys expendable from the active roster, but good on the kid for making the 53-man after final roster reductions.

I just lit a candle for Little Joe and will be maintaining a vigil for him throughout the day. Please keep him in your prayers.
    I will be watching google.

If Hundley had been able to play this past preseason nobody would have noticed Callahan at all IMO.

Cleveland claimed Little Joe. This a dark day, better that he was kidnapped by ISIS.

The Browns have had more QBs this season than red has had interventions
All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

Problem with being a backup QB on the Browns is that there is a very good chance you will get to start
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
