If nothing else, Jones can take snaps away from Thomas. Thomas is a total liability in the run game.

Did he not play starters snaps today? I didn't watch the game. Sure seemed like his name was called on the radio a lot. He and Burnett at the ILBs on 3rd down, maybe more. He's effectively a starter.

well...the d grew as the game went along. gave up 17 points total and only 3 in the 2nd half. o struggled as it always seems to but gets better in the 2nd half. no one had a great game except Crosby and Allison. others had good games and great moments... Jones, Nelson, Rodgers, Brooks, Martinez, others. gutsy win.

I was wondering that too. Watching the game on TV, I saw very little of him on the field. Either he wasn't in or he was so far out in center field doing such a good job that no action went his way. If anybody knows for sure, inquiring minds want to know.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

In a minor "one of a kind quirk" both punters had 6 punts for 296 yards.

Both teams also had stars born. Jones appears to be a special guy as does Mixon, the Cincy RB.
Including the 27 yd shank? If so then Vogel was really booming them.

Vogel was hitting 60+ yard punts after the shank.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Packers had Evans playing deep center field most of the game. Clinton-Dix was playing up on the line. With Ryan hurt, Burnett and Jones were playing LB most of the game.

Yes, if Vogel continues to punt like that I think we found a good one.

    What sidelined Ryan?

    Hamstring and concussion protocol.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Exactly. I think the local bars will make you a drink that produces the same effect as well.

He is a safety. Burnette's back-up on the depth chart.

With the "4 safeties" defense we are playing, Jones will get some looks as a hybrid LB.

I thought that's was Ted was thinking when he drafted Jones. Kind of a Deion Jones type of guy.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Jones has corner-safety speed and he tackles better and is far more aggressive in the run game than Thomas.
