    The All Time Packers/Bears Record

I'm surprised this isn't being talked about more.
Right now : Bears 93 wins
    Packers 93 wins
    6 ties

For the first time in my life (which is an absurdly long one), the Pack has the chance to eclipse the hated Dumpsters of the Midway.

I was just about to look that up. Packers better not have a repeat of the last time they played the Bears on a Thursday Night...

Unless they get the tackle position shored up, I am extremely apprehensive.

Inspired by a serious doubt that Shadow had never witnessed the Packers with a series lead, I looked it up. Unless Shadow is 94, he never has. As usual, I was probably wrong.

Packers versus Bears by the numbers:

I just ran this out on Excel, so there may be any number of bad formula errors in here:
(all decades run from 0-9 - I don't care if there is not a year 0)

Best Packer Decade: 2010's at 12-3 so far (best complete decade is 1960s at 15-5)

Best Bear Decade: 1940s at 16-4 (the 50s were almost as good and salted away the lead for the rest of the century 14-5-1

Last time tied (beside today at 94-94-6): September 24, 1933, 11 wins 11 losses (Packers lost this game)

Biggest lead in series Packers: 11 wins to 9 losses (1932), or 55%

Biggest lead in series Bears by total wins: 24, twice, in Oct 25, 1992 and Sept 25, 1960 (Packers surprisingly competitive in the 1980s = 7-11, considering the Ditka years.

Biggest lead in series by percentage: 65.8% 1958 and 1960

^ The Bear percentage lead was higher in the 20s, but I counted series totals only after the last tie-1933). With the small sample size, Bears lead series by 100% until their 4th game in 1925 (after first Packer win, series was 1-3). Bears in 1927 (7-1 against Packers) had next highest win% was 87.5. All downhill for the next 90 years wth a few bumps after that.

My chart contained the two playoff games. Of course the teams are 1-1 there.

If average calculates how I think it does, the all time series average score is 17-17.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

    All time points, with playoffs:

    3335 to 3331 (Packers lead)

Tonight TNF is featuring Episode 193 of the Oldest Rivalry in the NFL.

This Rubber Match is HUGE !

The Packers OL will most likely be missing both starting Tackles.

Good News! Randall Cobb is expected to return and this hopefully will be a boost for Aaron Rodgers.

This Bears team is more than decent right now. They have a solid Running Game on 'O' and an excellent front Seven on ' D '. That as a fact Vs The Packers OL patched together as we'll see it...... is intriguing.

At this time the Packers are favoured by 7 Points.

How will the Pckers win !? I want to see a lot of Quick Huddle Offense.

    GO PACK GO !

To add insult to insult: The loss dropped the Bears below .500 in the all-time series against the Packers for the first time since 1932. Virginia McCaskey, 94, was 9 then.

1933 was the year my 84 year old Dad was born.

In the 80's and 90's and even into the oughts I didn't think I'd see this day.

And I was feeling kind of bad about the utter domination over the last 20+ years until that cheap shot last night.

In what? Model A or horse and buggy?
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

The Shadow, a reincarnated Roman legion or gladiator (maybe Highlander), traveling through time before finally landing as a modern day Packer fan/human resource director/Army Reserve Colonel is a TV show I would watch.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
