    Dilly Dilly!
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

D can't give up 488 yards and expect to win. You need a QB like ARod or Brady to have any chance.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Brees always lights us up. I thought it would be 35-17 Saints. Probably would have been if he hadn't thrown 2 interceptions.

    Yep.

Not having a functional offense helps inflate that number.

The Special teams just surrendering yardage on penalties also helped no one.

Bad all around after half time.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Pretty bad before half time too considering we had two turnovers and a couple huge runs by Jones. We stunk it up today.

You have to wonder if this game would have turned out differently had we had a QB who could have taken advantage of those 2 early INTs...

By the end of the year, Hundley might be an average starting QB if the OL can let him work his progressions. I'm not convinced that will happen with the walking wounded that we have out there.

I really believe a lot of good, young QBs are ruined by poor OL play. A 5th round project needs good protection or he'll play his way out of the league.

We have to rely on the running game to take the air out of the ball and take away possessions from the opposing team. This will be a VERY different offense from the one that Rodgers ran.

    When will Stubby implement it?

We won't face many offenses as good as the Saints offense. Our D will look better in some games. We just can't win games against high-powered offenses.
