Official Packers vs. Bears II Game Day Thread

    Packers lead all-time series 95-94-6.

Last meeting: Packers beat Bears 35-14 on September 28 at Lambeau.

Last meeting in Chicago: Packers beat Bears 30-27 on December 18, 2016.

Last meeting in which neither Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers were the Packers starting QB: I believe it would be December 8, 1991: Bears beat the Packers 27-13. Mike Tomczak was the Packers quarterback. He threw for 215 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Darrell Thompson rushed 14 times for 48 yards.

Its going to be wooly. Not much film on Trubisky and their offense is changing with him. Otherwise I have no idea what to expect from the defense.

Hundley will be better as they figure out what he can/can't do and what he prefers in certain situations.

Really need a fuckdoggle this week.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

How many decades did it take GB to finally take the lead in overall series?

    Need to win today. Period

    Bears 21 - Packers 17

Packers outscore Bears 17-14 on offense, but the Bears score a defensive TD.

Have we really reached this level of depravity that it's "okay" for the Packers to lose to the Bears?

I will never embrace the tank.

They may not win a lot more this year but I expect a win every week. This week is no different.

If we start seeing McCarthy dial up the "Flat Pass For Loss" play, it's gonna be a long afternoom.

I'm trying to get this team to get rid of Capers and get a higher draft seeding.

I doubt we'll tank but unless their play improves big time I don't see a lot of victories in our future this season.

Stubby is the best coach in history when his back is against the wall. Don't count him out yet. Wait for the playoffs for that.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

    ^Ouch.

I cannot embrace the tank either. Nor give up the overall series lead to go back to an infernal tie.

However, I won't burn the notice of my season ticket spot if the Packers are picking in the Top Ten either.

Here for the game, and like others mentioned, rooting to the end. Fuck tanking, never want to see it. Dammit though, the Bears punter better see the field, that was beyond painful last week.

For more thoughts on the mess the team is in, see the thread I started about getting backup QB field time http://packerrats.com/showthread.php...470#post949470
