    My daughter loved that hippo song when she was in the fourth grade. I had to confiscate the external speakers for her iPod.

    Yeah it makes me think of my Mom's uncles. One fought in Iwo Jima and the other in Germany. Her uncle in the Pacific lived. My great uncle in Germany was wounded in that horrible battle in Belgium that no one knows about (Huertgen) and froze to death in his foxhole in ‘44. This song came out in ‘43. Too many of them only made it home in their dreams.

    We are in the midst of a slow, fascist takeover. Christmas music is about my favorite thing in the world, have collected thousands of favorite songs. Not appropriate this season. We have a government that has a mountain of credible evidence of corruption against it, and a desperate, unpatriotic Republican party laying the ground for the FBI investigators to be fired.
