Thread: 2017 Super Bowl Run Starts Now

Reason #2 History Will Be Made:

Rodgers may be first QB with throwing side collarbone fracture to return in same season. Bonus Charlie Batch coverage and a surgical procedure named after the Mumford & Sons band.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Best as I could find and the doctors knew, Charlie Batch of the Pittsburgh Steelers was the first NFL quarterback to have surgery after breaking his collarbone on his throwing side, in 2008. He went on injured reserve but had no throwing issues the rest of his career.
    How could you ever know?

    Per Wikipedia

With their playoff position locked and basically all starters resting, the Eagles' sixteenth game was an NFC East rivalry rematch against the Cowboys. In the 2nd quarter the Eagles took the lead as QB Kevin Kolb threw a 4-yard TD pass to WR Chad Hall, but after that the offense had problems after Kolb dropped the ball which was recovered 17 yards for a touchdown by OLB DeMarcus Ware. They took a slight lead with kicker David Akers hitting a 43 and a 22-yard field goal, but failed to maintain this lead when QB Stephen McGee threw a 4-yard TD pass to TE Jason Witten.

With the loss, the Eagles finish on a 10–6 record.
It's highly unlikely the Eagles would have lost to the lowly 5-10 Cowboys if they were actually trying to win. By beating the Giants the prior week, they had no reason to show up and rested starters. The writer assumes Philly would lose to Dallas when they would possibly be in a "win and you're in" scenario.

The article is correct that we no doubt got a lot of help near the end of the season that year. I remember (after reading the article) how great it was that Detroit beat Tampa Bay.

All that said. Heck yeah, I'm on the Super Bowl wagon! Rodgers adds to his legacy by throwing for 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns in the final 3 games of the year.

Its still a mathematically viable thread. For at least one more day.

If Atlanta wins a game, we are out.

Obviously we have to win out.
Reposting from the game thread. People probably too sick to look in there much longer.

I'm not good at posting pics, but if I did, I'd find one with fingers clinging to the toilet bowl to keep from getting flushed. That's the Packers season at this point.

However, on the slim chance Tampa does rise up and knock off Atlanta, things get a little brighter. Atlanta losing to New Orleans and Carolina, both motivated teams, is not that unlikely. The only other thing needed - other than two Packer wins, of course - is Dallas beating Seattle - very likely.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?
