I don't think he was talking about actual, real rust.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

That was bad. Mathews on the ground again, 3rd time I've seen it I think. Something wrong with him?

Hes has 7 completions for 73 yards. That is not exactly lighting it up.

Ya, I expected him to look even worse. I was a glass 1/8 full guy. Now I'm living on the sunny side of the street.

    DAMMIT! Matthews fell down again!
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

On that 3rd down try I don't think Spriggs got a hand on the rusher.

The run by Williams? It was run to Bach's side.

Was I the only one yelling "NO!" when Cobb turned back towards the middle of the field? Was worried he'd get tackled in bounds.

Just saw the replay, he went down harder on his shoulder than I'm sure anyone would've liked.

OK, fake punt and FG? No, punt. OK. Don't need 58 yard FG attempt.

That’s fine but kind of stupid to have Vogel behind Jordy.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

would have been about a 55 yard attempt, and i think its not as warm there as it looks. if you miss, they have the ball at the 45

Vogel has had a good rookie season. Looks like we may have found our punter for the future.
