I just hope Gutes doesn't give up both 2nds to move up this time. I'd like Washington or Mayer or Musgrave, but I wouldn't give up capital to get them. We can stand pat and get LaPorta and Mingo which wouldn't break my heart. I wouldn't cry if we got "stuck" drafting Porter either. Even Torrence would be fine.

Things I will be unhappy about. Trading both 2nds to move up. Drafting Branch or Levis. I'd rather give up the 6/7 to move from early 3rd to late 2nd. We know any pick in the 3rd will be a bust.
    I don't hold Grudges. It's counterproductive.

Ouch. They should just trade their 3rd and their lower 2nd to move up and take the TE they want most. If Gute waits until round 3 and takes a TE with a 5 RAS, I think I will go to GB and remove Gute's junk with a pair of pliers and a rusty saw.
Fire Murphy, Gute, MLF, Barry, Senavich, etc!

Here's who I'm liking tonight for the Packers to pick, in no particular order:

Jonathan Mingo – WR - Mississippi
Michael Mayer – TE – Notre Dame
Darnell Washington – TE – Georgia
    Sydney Brown – S – Illinois
Cody Mauch – OT – North Dakota State
Gervon Dexter – DT – Florida
Siaki Ika – DT – Baylor
Joey Porter Jr. – CB – Penn State

The more I read, the more I like Mingo.

No matter what, I think the Pack comes away with at least a WR and/or a TE tonight.

I like Darnell Washington. Maybe just an average pass catcher for the position, but an eventual elite run blocker with the skillset to develop into a legit pass protection player too. That opens up your offense to do a lot of different things.

Mayer is next, but is a little unspectacular for me and doesn’t have a go-to strength, but he could be solid all the way around. He’s a savvy route runner and good hands. He should be a solid player. I like him in the second.

Laporta is 6’3”. We already have Deguara at 6’2”. I don’t like they fit, but he’s good so he’s worth a 3rd or late 2.

There are a couple high upside gambles after these guys who have a shot.

Gute sounded pretty happy last night about how the board looked. I think he's going to stay where he is, or maybe even trade down.

I like Darnell Washington. Great blocker and red zone target.

    Sleeper pick - "Quan" Martin.

Washington is definitely the one I’m hoping for. Obviously it takes young guys a year or two at that position to become really reliable blockers, but he projects as an elite blocker in a year or two. Once he hits his stride as a blocker, on first and second down, you almost have to match him with a linebacker or you’re looking at safeties getting steam rolled in the run game. With that speed he showed at the combine, he’ll get plenty of opportunities to run by linebackers down the seam. And he has that big body to box out and catches well in traffic. He has some pass catching upside too. He’s another rare, unique athlete too. We like those guys. He’s a packer pick for sure

these are pretty much all my thoughts as well.
LIFE IS ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS; I JUST REALIZED THIS. The MILWAUKEE BUCKS have won the same number of championships over the past 50 years as the Green Bay Packers. Ten years from now, who will have more championships, and who will be the fart in the wind ?

Yeah, too much talent out there to lose that second second round pick.

Frickin' Lions... Take Hockenson in the top 10, dump him after a couple of years and then draft another Iowa TE.
