Official day 3 of the 2023 NFL draft thread

Colby Wooden looks like a nice rotational piece. Very athletic. Pass rush specialist inside with potential to play a little on early downs too. You’re not going to get ready to play all around DL in the 4th round, but he has a skillset that you can use situationally.

Definitely not your ho hum, slug of a 4th round pick. If the big guy last year is a run specialist, this guy is the pass specialist. Nice to have moveable pieces

Again with this pick, I'm pleased position-wise. We probably need a Safety, though. Other than that, I like the way things have gone so far.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Tucker Kraft might be a safer pick than Musgrave. Kraft may have average top speed, but his 10 yard and agility is elite for the position. That’s more of the skillset you see inside, creating space on short to intermediate routes and it makes him a high upside player for more of what tight ends are asked to do.

I would not be the least bit surprised if Kraft is the better player. He has top 10 TE upside. Musgrave has a chance to be like prime Jimmy Graham, but that’s kind of a long shot. Kraft being good is more likely than Musgrave being great or even good imo. If both pan out, it’s sure nice to have two different ones though.

I liked Wooden, but didn’t think he’d be a fit for the Packers 3-4.

I dunno Harv. He seems a little . . . wooden to me.

    Sorry had to do it. I'm a little . . . board.

You’ll be hard pressed to find an uglier scouting report. And this Nigga so white, it’s blinding. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more sure that a guy was a failure on day one than I am with this guy. Ugh.

This is the guy that got us on the board RG; not hare to see why GB drafted him.

High RAS and they had him in for interviews and he probably killed it interview wise
Great Community guy even when in college with no money...he was giving up his time while being a QB at Penn State with Big Brothers and Sisters and other good foundations
And very intelligent guy who understands the game with a great attitude. He's a backup QB

No more shitbags to cheer for at QB

I thought GB would draft him, but....maybe not quite so soon
LIFE IS ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS; I JUST REALIZED THIS. The MILWAUKEE BUCKS have won the same number of championships over the past 50 years as the Green Bay Packers. Ten years from now, who will have more championships, and who will be the fart in the wind ?

Bretsky, he sounds like a great human being, but truth be told we fans will take an axe murderer if he can win. We don't give a damn about boy scouts unless they're good players, and even than it makes us a little uncomfortable.

Gute is bordering on an F grade in this draft from me. Hope I’m wrong but this is abysmal.

Really? A QB now? I guess there isn’t much faith in anyone else on the roster than Love right now.

There's only SomeGuy Etling on the roster right now.
I believe in God, family, Baylor University, and the Green Bay Packers.

You’ve been shitty from the start—even though they made good picks on day 1 and 2. We all knew they’d take a QB, so this is a dumb take.

I guess we will see, won’t we? I liked the draft last year. This year, it feels like the Yankees are at bat and taking nothing but home run swings. If they mostly hit, hurrah…but Gute’s record says that isn’t likely.

Gute is a clean up power hitter. He does pretty well with his home run swings. When he chokes up and tries to hit for average he fails every time. Except Enagbare. That might be his one contact swing that worked out. Might be.

Damn, Cindy got Chase Brown. I wad hoping the Packrrs would get him.
Fire Murphy, Gute, MLF, Barry, Senavich, etc!

First Packers pick that I didn’t scout—which means he didn’t play in the Shrine Game or Senior Bowl or get a combine invite. I have no opinion on him.

Definitely a project. I'm guessing they see enough arm that they think he can develop. Probably means the Packers keep 3 QBs this year. With luck, in 2-3 years he can be turned into a 2nd or even a 1st.

Would think they need a vet to back up Love, so Clifford or Etling for practice squad.

Agreed - I figured they'd wait till AR was gone, then bring in a veteran. Draft was a couple days after AR went bye bye, so I'm going to assume next week they'll start bringing someone in.

I think I remember reading Wentz being an option, which I'm not keen on. Matty Ice would be ok, but I'm not sure if Matty Ice is ready to accept that he's now a backup.
