Among the changes to the schedule this season:

NFL will have a Black Friday game for the first time ever.

Games don’t necessarily “belong” to networks anymore. All games are free agents.

Teams can be on Thursday Night Football twice.

Not all teams are guaranteed to have a primetime spot.

Can’t the NFL swap out the Lumpensteelers for the Gotham City Jesters (in honor of the downtrodden comedian, Arthur Fleck)?

I wanna see if Butte could “stick” it to the German Shepherd.

Biology fact: German shepherds and polar bears once share a common ancestor.

Joe, in that logo you posted above, any idea what the "Fear of Change" box means?

It was a response on twitter to the Packers posting their 2023 opponents. https://twitter.com/packers/status/1612516734388297731

So the Chiefs have an easier schedule than the Broncos in the same division. SB champs vs. cellar of division. Good thing the NFL doesn't handicap things based on TV!!!!

Of course Denver has the harder schedule, not really all that surprising when you think about it.

Denver has to play the 14-3 Chiefs twice. So that counts for 28-6 on their total.
KC has to play the 5-12 Broncos twice. So that counts for 10-24 on their total.

That's an 18 game differential that has to be made up for on the 3 teams they do not play in common.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Minnesota and Chicago have the exact same strength of schedule. One team finished 13-4, the other finished 4-13.

Arizona has a harder strength of schedule than San Fran. One team finished 13-4, the other finished 4-13.

The NFC East has the 4 of the top 8 hardest schedules in the league this year.

The AFC East has 4 of the top 8 hardest schedules in the league this year.

I wonder which NFC/AFC divisions play head-to-head. I wonder which two divisions had the best overall records in 2022.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Guarantee the Packers have an NFL first. We play the Lions twice on Thursday if Joe’s schedule is correct.

Good time for the bye for Jordan Love. 5 games and then a chance to reflect and make adjustments and saddle up for the long haul.

Bears in week 1 is exciting. I don’t follow Vikings of lions fans on Twitter, but I follow a few Bears fans. They had a fun offseason and really believe in Justin Fields. Or have a lot of unrealistic hope, depending on how that turns out. Bears fans are pretty sure Love isn’t the next great thing, but there is an underlying dread that he’ll be the guy and theirs won’t and they’re kinda terrified. It’ll make Twitter fun for a couple weeks leading up and after the game!

This is the Jordan Love maiden voyage!

I guess since 2011, 39% of first round quarterbacks were signed to second contracts with the team that drafted them. So about 39% are decent or better. Maybe half of them are really good (20%)

So love has a 20% chance of being the guy! We have a chance!

Doesn't look like a bad schedule. No glaring issues - three games in a row on the road, a London game and a short week game before or after, that kind of thing. And the teams don't look terribly intimidating, though you never know once the season starts, plus the Packers are playing without their aura now.

Detroit on Thanksgiving. Hmmm. I'm a widower now, kids all live out of state. Maybe I ought to go to that one.

I may have to take in the Falcons game in week 2 and check out the Benz stadium.

Open on 2 road games and 4 of first 6.

    Early bye week.

    Two Thursday games (short weeks).

    I’m thinking 6 or 7 wins.

Packers Bears rivalry is amped on Twitter right now. Bears fans getting their first taste of Packers uncertainty and they’re absolutely insufferable. Packers fans doubting Fields and Bears fans sucking his dick.

It’s gonna be so sad for Bears fans if Love is it and Fields is not. Packers fans have had a 30 year run, we’ll take it in stride if it’s our turn to stink.

Hoping for another great QB tho. Bears fans will be sick.

It's been so long that the Packers have dominated the Bears, I admit to being surprised - though I suppose I shouldn't have been - to see that the Bears are favored in that game.

Starting and ending the season with the Bears will provide an interesting measuring stick for both teams to see how they've progressed thru the season, with an eye to the QBs and rookies.
