    You can only judge a player within the context of the game as it was played when he was playing. From that perspective, the best I have seen was Henry Jordan; but obviously that wasn't in the last 30 years. The best d line? Jordan, Willie Davis, Ron Kostelnik and Lionel Aldredge.

    I go back all the way to Henry Jordan too, and yeah, he was really good even though the game was different then - seemingly way better than those mentioned in the last 30 years. If we're gonna go beyond the 30 year mark, though, the obvious name that stands out is Reggie White.

    White's Packer career fits in the 30 year window ('93-'98), but he was a DE not a DT, so I didn't even consider him for this topic.

    Dotson was really good, but so we're others in different ways. I don't know how to compare them.
