Not on the radar but an "other game" this week, Iowa Western won the NJCAA Championship. My cousin's son had 4 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 sack and a forced fumble for the Reavers.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I just landed tickets for tonights game at face value, but I hate both teams. I guess I'll go cheer against whoever the fans around me are backing.

Raiders lead Chargers 42-0 at halftime. Looks like Brandon Staley will be looking for a DC job this offseason.

My friend and I were joking at about this point in the game that with our luck MiLF will finally fire Barry as Staley becomes available. SD fans near us were MFing him up and down the aisle. I can't remember attending a bigger blowout that this one. I was in GB when we beat the Titans something like 44-10 and it was over at halftime. Thats the only other game I can recall like this one.

My impression is that in general, defensive coordinators in the past, I dunno, ten or so years, do not do so well when hired as head coaches. I'm thinking of Staley and Saleh right now.

If that is true and not just an impression, I wonder why that is so. Couldn't a D-coordinator-turned-head-coach offer some up and coming offensive mind the benefit of having near-complete control over an offense?

It's a curious thing. Or maybe it's not true. Or maybe there is no real reason.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of times when a DC becomes a HC, his defenses aren't as good as when he was a DC. Maybe because he can't spend all his time focused on the D. Or maybe good DC's are just harder to find than good OC's. I don't think Saleh fits into this. His problems stem mainly from the QB situation

Yep. Saleh's problem, as it would be with ANYONE who would've coached this Jets team, is the shitshow they've run out at QB. Just look how a shitty QB can make even a legend like Belichick look.

Staley is out as HC of the Chargers as well as Telesco, the GM.

Not bigger, but there was the Packers-Bears game in 2014 that was 42-0 Packers at the half in route to a 55-14 win.
Fire Murphy, Gute, MLF, Barry, Senavich, etc!

I meant games I attended though. Blowing out the bears is always "bigger"

    And in their place?

"Outside linebackers coach Giff Smith was named interim head coach and director of player personnel JoJo Wooden will be interim GM."

Wow. The Giff and JoJo Show. You gotta love that.

One problem I have with the Yahoo article from which the quote came is that writer kept writing that the Chargers were "disinterested" in the game.

No. "Disinterested" means you have no skin in the game. What the writer meant was that the team was "uninterested." A judge, for example, should be disinterested but not uninterested.

Anyway. Will Staley-the-DC be less desirable as a DC candidate after the clusterfuck that was his tenure as an HC? Or is he still a really good DC?

Staley was only a DC for 1 year, and had only been in the NFL for 4 years before getting a HC job. The Rams had the NFL's #1 defense his 1 year as DC, but his defenses with the Chargers haven't been very good. In the 2020 playoffs, Packers didn't have much trouble with the Rams defense. I'd be surprised if he gets a DC job in the NFL next year.

^ Agreed, I think he could be a good LB coach though.

We had Brian Flores and Vic Fangio to choose from last year

LIFE IS ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS; I JUST REALIZED THIS. The MILWAUKEE BUCKS have won the same number of championships over the past 50 years as the Green Bay Packers. Ten years from now, who will have more championships, and who will be the fart in the wind ?

George Pickens blocking effort on running play. May be part of the reason some teams passed on him even though he had great talent. https://twitter.com/i/status/1736143352997777679

This just cracked me up. That’s like saying your favorite ex-president (Obama, Trump, I don’t care) would be a damn good state representative.

Just from my experience in the real world, some guys have real egos and can handle taking on a job that isn't as prestigious as the previous one....some have arrogance and can't.
