Where would we be without the Cap'n's obligatory game day post?

I always look for that post.

To paraphrase Alphaville and Oldbutnotdeadyet, I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Hopefully, Love drops the figurative bomb on Dallas.

I will call-in with a loss. If they can me from the burger joint, so be it.

I don’t love spending 30 minutes prepping fresh veggies and browning meat. But once everything is in the crock pot, it’s a blast to play around with the spices until the chili is just right! Every hour stopping by to smell and taste to see if everything is in track! That’s so damn satisfying!!

    Anyone have any special ingredients??

I use less beans and black beans because they’re not as strong
I add corn because there are fewer beans and I still want that satisfying carb feeling when you eat
I use a lot of meat
I use a lot of chopped onion, green pepper, Jalepenos, habeneros, celery.
The spices I use are salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, coriander, cocoa, garlic powder

I put everything in the crockpot with tomato sauce, and canned diced tomatoes

I play around for 3 hours until it tasted right

Then the next day I put it back on the crock pot 3 hours before it’s time to eat. I add a second round of chopped veggies (no celery this time because it stays too hard if put in too late.) I like that late round of veggies because it adds a layer of a more fresh and less softened veggie crunch to the other flavors that are mixed throughout.

I sliced up some mangos this time in case people want a sweet and hot dynamic. It tasted pretty damn good to be honest and is a nice mix up from a traditional cheese and sour cream bowl!

Anyway, I freaking love chili and it’s so much fun to play around with! Anyone got any little special tips and tricks to your famous chili recipes. I try something a little different most of the time, just to see what works.

    Go Pack Go!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Packers CB Jaire Alexander out here pregame cutting and backpedaling on that ankle he rolled in practice this week. A game time decision, the pregame work is a big part of deciding his availability

I can see us running the ball like all teams who beat Dallas tend to do.

Possessions will be at a premium and shockingly, Joe Barry’s top 10 scoring defense that relys on the bend over willingly and take most of it, but get shy at then end so they can’t finish but still got something out of it defense stands a real good chance at giving these studs blue balls.

If we can score 7 while they score 3, we win this game.

Turnovers are the other big factor.

But there are avenues that aren’t far fetched at all where we win this game.

Fuck. I've never bet on an NFL game and want to put a bet down on the Pack, that's how confident I am.

    Any suggestions?

Let's fucking do this. All that is relevant is the game at hand. Expectations and season play don't matter.

Youngest team in the league is a big handicap. First year starting QB is a handicap.

But who have we lost for the year besides Eric Stokes? There can’t be a healthier team in the league this year. Granted, we’ve missed guys all throughout the season and our report has been a mile long. But we have almost no injuries right now and have lost almost no one. That’s a huge edge. The guys had all year to jell and now it’s time to peak at the right time.

    18 WR Malik Heath
    28 RB AJ Dillon
    30 CB David Long Jr.
    48 S Benny Sapp III
    57 LB Brenton Cox Jr.
    72 T Caleb Jones

This is a decent inactive list. Cant complain.

I’m glad AJ Dillon is out. He’s incredibly slow to get moving and is easily destroyed by smaller penetrating defenses. Having Dillon out forced us to feed Jones and he’s the matchup we want.

I think you want to see Love under center today. Let Jones get moving downhill early so the penetration can’t stop him before the play begins.
