    Black Friday

Anyone know of any good Black Friday deals? With the way the retailers are hurting right now especially Toysrus with all those recall there has to be some good deals this year. On my wish list is a new camcorder and a train set for my son.

buy the newspaper on Thanksgiving. It's triple the size of normal because of all the advertising for black friday.

Best Buy seems underwhelming this year.

Best Buy never seems that great to me... for the few years i've been going to Staples. The lines are never that bad and they always have stuff that you can never really have too much of.

Yeah but that 22" LCD for 200 last year was sweet. I was hoping for a 1900*1200 this year at 200-250ish. They have one for 350. Too rich for my blood.

What do you usually get at Staples?

Staples every year does Hard drives, Ram, and flash memory of all kinds. I usually go for that stuff. My favorite part about staples is that some of the stores make the "one per customer" totally based on the honor system. Last year I walked out with 4 300GB hard drives for $20 each and 4 1gb flashdrives for $8 each.

I wish Ritz Camera would have posted their ad. I just bought a new DSLR and now for the expensive part.....lens shopping.

I didn't even know those black friday websites existed, thanks for posting them, guys. Although I admit, i've never been one to take advantage of the deals on black friday, simply because Thankgiving is spent up in the Northwoods of WI and I like to spend the long weekend with my family instead of rushing back home to go shopping. Although Rhinelander does have a Kohl's store now... which is 30 minutes from my parents house, so maybe this will be my first Black Friday experience...

Didn't the journal sentinel just run a story about how Wi residents get hosed on Black Friday sales because of our state's socialist minimum mark up laws?

I don't think Blake is big on Black Friday although he got a laptop at Best Buy last year. He tagged along with a friend and bought it on impulse.

Sometimes you can get Black Friday prices before Black Friday. The stores just do not advertise it and tell you about it. This year the retailers will probably start trying to lure buyers this weekend.

I can't handle the chaos that goes along with the blackfriday crowds so I just skip it and go skiing. You freaks can have your rampant consumption of Chinese products.

The girls and I (stand down B!) Take an annual shopping trip to the outlet malls over the weekend before Thanksgiving. Beats the crowds...

If anybody is looking for a cheap computer, Staples is selling a Compaq for $350. Pretty basic, 1 GB, 15.4 screen, but that's a pretty good price.

I might look at it, but our governor sets the prices around here and he probably says that computer sells for $600 at the Ma and Pa Computer Outlet and Fuckyouintheass Emporium, so that's what we pay.

We had our friends and family night last night at Sears from 6-9, and we did Black Friday prices + 10% off. We had some pretty good items and it was a solid day. I made about 25$ an hour so I was pretty happy with that.

And yes, as Partial already mentioned, things are not looking to spectacular so far this year, at least not compared to years gone past. There is simply so much competition year round online, that it makes it much harder to find the real hot deals

Best Buy is especially underwhelming. What's with the 350 laptop when they had one for 250 last year? What's with the 650 AMD dual core lappy? I see these systems routinely online daily.

I was personally hoping for a 24" 1900*1200 display for 200. That would be a steal and justify a door buster. Last year they did that with the 22".

One thing that I will say is that naturally prices are going to be a little bit higher since BB did away with Mail-in rebates for all their doorbuster deals.
