I am old so someone explain what's wrong with eyebrows? Why do people remove them and then tattoo or paint them back?

In the 2000s there was a trend to have thin eyebrows. A lot of women in their 20s during that time plucked them regularly and then they eventually don’t grow back.
In the last 5 years thicker eyebrows have become the trend. All women over 35 have pretty much destroyed theirs, so they paint them on. It’s a weird women’s competition between themselves because guys don’t give two fucks. And now thin eyebrows are associated with being old.
