If You Were the Michigan AD, Would You Fire Lloyd Carr?

If you were the Michigan AD, would you fire Lloyd Carr after their loss to Oregon?

Here are some reasons why Carr might be fired tomorrow:

    1. lost 4 games in a row, including Rose Bowl blowout and embarrasing losses to App. State(Division I-AA) and Oregon(a mediocre Pac-10 team) at home.

    2. lost to Ohio State for several consecutive years.

    3. gradual spiraling down of high standard(9+ wins per season) program.

Here are some reasons why Carr will be retained:

    1. Still early in the season. Conference play has not yet begun.

    2. Little, if any, major scandals involving players.

What is your opinion if you were the Michigan A. D.?

    Interesting question...

I say now is the time to fire him for 3 specific reasons:

#1 - they get embarassed for the 2nd week in a row, AT home against supposedly inferior teams (the Oregon loss is inexcusible following the loss against Appalachia). Only got to see highlights, but didn't see anyone in Blaze and Blue knocking anyone on their ass.

#2 - All the OSU losses... biggest rivalry, need to win a few

#3 - Because conf play has not started, retool and try and make a run at the conf title...
My Two favorite teams are the Packers, and whoever plays the Vikings!

After two games in the season, as a college coach? No. I don't think that'd be healthy for the players. I suspect a lot will be forgiven in Ann Arbor if they beat the Buckeyes. Unfortunately for them, John Cooper doesn't coach them anymore.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

Are they really going to get someone in there now who's going to turn the season around?
