Am hoping that he's average to good this year and then has a great second season as a starter. I see Grant getting a lot of TD's if we address the o-line or if it improves from within.

Draft Brandin Cooks WR OSU!
Big balls there. Gonna have to remember this thread.Originally Posted by Deputy Nutz
17-23 passing TDs with 3 rushing TDs with about 16 picks is my vote.
30. He's gonna bust out like Dolly Parton.
All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!
20 seems about right to me...neither Driver or Jennings are big red zone threats, and Rodgers won't be threading the needle 6-8 times a year like Favre did.
I would expect Rodgers to get some decent yardage and a few TDs on the ground though. The naked bootleg in goalline situations will be much more available now.

He broke his foot, and played the rest of the game with it broken, he then strained his hamstring, and he most likely could have played the following week but was held out because his playing wasn't crucial. It would have been the week that he hurt it if Favre couldn't have gone.Originally Posted by MadtownPacker

He didn't have any knee or leg problems in college. his body should be fresh, and especially going into camp being the starter his body will soon be a custom to playing every week.
Well, that's not entirely true, according to this excerpt from KFFL:Originally Posted by Deputy Nutz

I agree with the rest of your post though

NO!!!!
Forget it he is done.
Well, it was surgically repaired before the '04 season which means that his big seasons at Cal came AFTER the surgery..It's not a problem anymore.
30 plus.....the Packers and Rogers will surprise again this year.
After Rogers and the receivers get the timing stuff down in the camps and pre-season they will light it up.
Look out!

24-30. I think he can throw 30 +.
If Thomps can improve the "D' mainly in the secondary I see no reason the Pack won't be back in the N.F.C championship game.
Think I'll roll another number for the road.
I HATE everything about the Minnesota Vikings
If the weather is ideal in the last part of the year, meaning unseasonably high temps then I think 30+ TDs is possible if Brett Favre was the QB, but most likely Rodgers will not in 2008, regardless of the temp. I think the Packers will be more conservative inside the 10 yard line and in goal line situations.
If Rodgers takes care of the ball and keeps his picks to a minimun, later season, Mac might let it fly in the red zone.
Think I'll roll another number for the road.

I'm the only one that went with 0-9????
How can he throw more than 10 TD's in one game??? He'll suffer a high ankle sprain getting out of the shower after the first game.
Don't see him being able to take the pounding.

True. If he's injured how can he succeed.Originally Posted by wist43

So, better than Favre's career rate...in only his first season of play??Originally Posted by Green Bud Packer

Thats what am saying, it's not going to happen. Favre played lights out last year and he only got 28. No way does Rodgers get more than 20 IMO in his first season starting.Originally Posted by The Leaper

Hey...the snows melting and spring is near at hand! What I want to know is why there was no 40+ TD option?

Leaper and Wist most be to of the most optimistic fellas around on Aaron Rodgers and life after Favre.
Leaper lept. Got mad at Favre for his reason of retirement, and now poo-poos Aaron Rodgers. Gonna be good season for you two.
I'm not poo-pooing Rodgers. I'm just pointing out that it seems rather over-the-top to suggest he will do BETTER as a first-time starter than Favre did during his HOF career.Originally Posted by Deputy Nutz
Rodgers can throw for 24 TDs, and he's still nowhere near 1.8 TDs a game over an entire season.
