Retail guy, i know you are a boss yourself, and you probably installed hidden cameras at the office to spy on your employees, but here i dont think theres any hidden camera. I am confident the boss dont know i am checking in here when i should be working.I dont really know though, she never say anything.Originally Posted by retailguy

Dear Blogg,
Still working on the entries stuff. I am very bored. Yes I am. I am taking a break and then will go back soon. Sorry, this is not a very good post.
I'm not going to stop the wheel. I'm going to break the wheel.
you do realize as an intern they don't expect you to work 24/7 in data entry, right? My boss always tells me to take a break and stuff because they know how mind-numbing data entry can be.

Today, I try to motivate people to want to do their jobs, by recognizing accomplishment and delegating "fun" things too. It works with some, and doesn't with others. They typically move along rather quickly.
I know I've poked a bit of fun at you, but I am enjoying your escapades.
Just be careful, big brother can be watching without cameras. If they've got IT people, they've probably got computer logs of what you are visiting and how much time you're working.
Yes, my boss is like yours too. When I worked the burger joint in HS (how else could i have gotten money to buy weed? Once my parents found out i am buying the good stuff with my allowance, they stopped giving me money) , the boss there never give us a break. We jsut work and work and then go to lunch/dinner and then work and work again.Originally Posted by Partial
This is not bad, compared to then (though then i only worked part time).
I'm not going to stop the wheel. I'm going to break the wheel.
Holy shit, why didnt i think of that! Well, i am just an intern so they probably wont care much. I am not being evaluated, i think.Originally Posted by retailguy

Sounds like child abuse to me. Did you contact Social Services?Originally Posted by Anti-Polar Bear
how big is the company? no way are they checking it if its a big company. Like there are thousands of people at this office that i'm in right now, and I know for a fact the IT people don't check what I do (I worked in IT for the company last summer).
Retailguy brings in fellas like this to motivate his employees, and to spark excitement and fun in the work place!
Not big. My guess is, 40-60 employees (i work wtih the finance/accounting department, so i have no clue about the exact number). We only have 3-4 IT people, i think.Originally Posted by Partial

I would but nothing would be binding without the parents signatures.Originally Posted by Scott Campbell

On a side note, this little beauty does the 1/4 mile a full three seconds quicker than his minivan.
Waaaayyyy too expensive. Lunch and ice cream have a better effect on morale, they're a lot cheaper and a lot more fun.... Just try showing up at the office with ice cream sundaes for everyone when it is 80 degrees outside. Nobody is ever on a "diet" at that moment.Originally Posted by Nutz
I don't like Anthony Robbins, but some of the other guys are OK. I'm much more receptive to those types of things if the employee brings it to me with a good reason.

Dear Blogg,
I am just taking another short break again. It would be inapporibate to browse porn at the work place so i am just reading stuff from here and espn.com.
I'm not going to stop the wheel. I'm going to break the wheel.
I have a hunch when all is said and done this may be one of the longest posts on packerrats!
"Thanks boss, but how about that raise?"
Raise??? You know what I had to do to get those bananas?"
