Not sure on that, Harv. Evidently, he's projected as a 7th rounder or a UDFA
some tid bits from one of my go-to draft sites
http://walterfootball.com/seniorbowl2014rumors.php
The Green Bay Packers have their defense as the priority of their offseason. It sounds as though Green Bay is more inclined to draft for defense early rather than offensive players like a new tight end or offensive line help. Sources with the Packers say they want to improve the speed and playmaking ability on their defense. Getting their defense more dynamic and faster is a top priority of their offseason according to sources.and its time to remind peopleThe Packers are also interested in Stanford outside linebacker Trent Murphy. Green Bay has some edge rushers in Clay Matthews and Nick Perry, but both players have dealt with injuries. Murphy (6-5, 252) fits the mold as an edge rusher in their defense as he led the nation with 15 sacks last season. If Murphy falls to their second-round pick, that would be ideal for Green Bay.
Green Bay isn't the only team that is scouting Murphy hard. Murphy is also on the radar for the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers don't have a big need at the position, but with a plethora of picks, they could stand to get some pass rushing depth and that isn't a bad idea considering Aldon Smith's situation.
ITS SMOKE AND MIRRORS TIME IN THE NFL
its all just rumors from now till the draft
packers might be interested in tajh boyd
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...t-senior-bowl/
Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net recently shared an observation from an unnamed Packers scout regarding former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd: “[B]ased on what I’m seeing Tajh Boyd is not draftable.”
LOL so true.ITS SMOKE AND MIRRORS TIME IN THE NFL
Hopefully this is NOT smoke and mirrors -- they really lacked both of these in 2013.Sources with the Packers say they want to improve the speed and playmaking ability on their defense.
Who? Williams? His stock fell off this year. He had a pretty ordinary year. There was talk of him leaving school last year because he was thought to be a mid round pick. This year, I don't think he even got invited to any All-Star games. Turner looks like he'll go solidly in the mid rounds. A couple of scouts mentioned he could go in the top 100. It's early though.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
^ Yeah, I was referring to Williams.
The 49ers have an extra 2nd rounder, no 5th rounder, and like five 7th rounders. That's before any comp picks are distributed. I'm sure they'll go with BPA, but I wouldn't exactly say they have a 'plethora' of picks.

here's a reason to draft players out of alabama
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...e-an-nfl-game/
they practice a lot harder then what NFL teams are allowed to do these days
this also makes a good argument for drafting senior players. the guys have gotten more contact practices in their final year of college then they would get in 5 or even 10 years of practices in the pros
TT has been trying to sell Packer Nation on drafting Tier Two College players and bringing in UFA's and other FA'a that just have been totally lost and getting any real shot again in the NFL. Most of these TT Guys would crash and burn in the CFL.
Nope! Ted Thompson wastes another PS and/or Roster spot ... with FA's that can't even demonstrate any natural ability to make a simple tackle. More and ore it will become Packer nation saying NO MORE ! It simply has to get right there ASAP. If Ted Thompson isn't at all concerned about bringing in decent talent to support Aaron Rodgers...?
Then what does Ted Thompson really care about Aaron Rodgers and Packer TEAM advancing to another Super Bowl under his essential leadership....under his HC's essential decision making and leadership?
Where are these Packer leaders heads? TT's way would be about as well supported by simply walking up Main Street Green Bay and looking for a solid athletic looking chap and dragging him back to Lambeau field to take a closer look. He's be wasting as much time and effort on that as bringing in the "wanna be" NFL players that he does.
Actually looking at those he drafts and that miss time after time after time...
Maybe this minimal backup plan is used to cover up the fact he's actually not that Draft SMART as some Packer fans are still deluded into being.
The real issue with TT has all to do with what I believe is a damaged ego. Thus his too often decision to simply be invisible. That he can pull of "the Howard Hughes thing" is amazing to me. He literally disappears for weeks to almost months. Is there any other GM in Pro Sports like Ted Thompson and that? TT is a total reclusive. Is that right? Don't any of you care about Ted Thompson and that strangeness?
The issue with Ted Thompson is he's out to lunch in terms of adding real strength to the Green Bay Packers. He'd rather choose a Grade F player/prospect than a Grade C- >>> D Graded prospect player; because he has in place "HIS" Draft and Development Program... that's failing before our eyes.
That some fans remain confident it will again work is like walking on thin ice with the air bubbles right before your feet.
NOT WISE !!!
Well I always have said this: You pick your direction and you mend your own lumps.
My frustration will survive TT and MM. That's what inspires me every day as a dedicated Green Bay Packer fan,
PACKERS !

104. Tajh Boyd - 6'1, 225 pounds - Quarterback - Clemson
The first thing I see before I go looking in depth is his height at 6 ' - 1 " and I ask myself is that really an issue?
I'm thinking Drew Brees and who else is solid at QB in terms of QB Rating and I get another shorter QB in terms of Seattle's QB Russell Wilson.
I believe it's clear that Russell Wilson is (at this time) light years away from the pure gifts and talent of Drew Brees interms of massive yards of offense production at this time. Give him a couple of more weapons at WR and who knows about this "young Field General".

LIFE IS ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIPS; I JUST REALIZED THIS. The MILWAUKEE BUCKS have won the same number of championships over the past 50 years as the Green Bay Packers. Ten years from now, who will have more championships, and who will be the fart in the wind ?

tajh boyd has to be just free falling down draft boards right now
showing no touch at all with a very low release
The big guy from Minnesota...Ra'shede Hageman...Haven't mentioned his name all game.
