The mercurial David Bowie (he was born David Jones and changed his name) was the original pop chameleon. He's been everything from inoffensive pop singer to glam icon to white soulman to art-rocker and more in the course of his long, prolific career.

Born: January 8, 1947, Brixton, London, England, UK

Died: January 10, 2016, New York City, New York, USA

    Cause of death: Cancer

    Spouse: Iman (m. 1992-2016), Angela Bowie (m. 1970-1980)

Children: Duncan Jones, Alexandria Zahra Jones

Parents: Margaret Mary Jones, Haywood Stenton Jones

    Active from: 1964

Associated acts: Davie Jones & the King Bees, Arnold Corns, The Buzz, The Manish Boys, The Lower Third, Tin Machine, Hype

Genre: Proto-Punk, Experimental Rock, Glam Rock

I'm thinking now about this weekend's Divisional Round Matchup:

Green Bay @ Arizona..and know it's difficult to defeat a solid team in back to back meetings.

    Is Arizona >>> Under Pressure?

Damn straight that team is or there in a shit load of doo doo.

Here's Bowie with the GREAT Annnie Lennox (she awoke on a bad hair day ).

    music trivia

in the original studio album of this song there is a small simple guitar part played near the end, with an unmistakable tone to the guitar

that guitar is by the freshly discovered stevie ray vaughan, it was one of the first time you could hear SRV and his #1 guitar on an album

I first heard of SRV when he dropped out of the Bowie tour due to a dispute with Bowie. It was pretty big news in Rolling Stone.

other way around, bowies manager dropped srv on the side of the road before the first show

srv's first album was just about to come out and he only wanted to do some select shows with bowie then open some shows for bowie. at first management said OK, but then changed their minds, they weren't even gonna let him talk about his album on the tour,

then before the bus took off for the first show, the tour manager took srv's shit off the bus and left him standing there

No. It wasn't Bowie's manager who did that. It was SRV's manager, although he may have done it without telling SRV first.
