"Jack of all trades..." kind of guy?? Yeah, I'd agree with that.

Now how does that fit with the duties of an OLB in dunderdummy's 2-4?? Are you going to have Barrington and Ryan still on the inside?? Neither of them can rush the passer worth a damn... look what happened when Peppers dropped into coverage on that backbreaking play to Fitzgerald.

I just don't think Ted, and this regime in general, have a vision of what their defense should look like - like the fat kid in Moneyball said, "Like an island of misfit toys".

Can we take a moment to acknowledge how stacked that OSU team was that beat the Badgers 55-0? 10... 10 players drafted in the first three rounds. That is a whole lot of talent.

Somebody said he might have a knee issue, but I haven't heard that anywhere else... the guys at CBS were going on and on about Billings, wondering why he was still there. If it's an injury issue, that's one thing, but if he's not hurt?? I sure don't get it...

The guy is a tree stump in the middle of the line... awesome strong dude. Don't know why he's sliding.

If they were concerned that he might only be a two down player, that's a weak concern. If he's a beast against the run, they'll thank him as he's running off the field on third and long. He looked like he has some pass rush when I saw video of him. He flat out looked dominant from what I saw. He must have a knee.

I don't love it - seems like a need draft of okay guys, but no real difference-makers. Sprigs looks like he'll be pretty good but cost a lot. Clark is a plug in the middle. Frackrell or Cracker or whoever he is sounds pretty average. Bleh.

But I don't know much. We'll just have to see.

FIFY. The thread covered 2nd and 3rd round. Nailed them both.

Just as you nailed Kenny Clark in the first.

One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

I posted that before I knew about Fackrell. I wasn't home last night so I didn't watch the draft.
